Please, any thoughts on when I should take the MCAT? Initially, I had planned on taking the MCAT around early May. Since my last semester is Fall 2023, what do you suggest I should do? I am trying to plan my Medical school application timeline. I would appreciate it if I could get some advice or direction. Thank you.

Why didn't you apply to WashU because I see that it's in Category I but that's the only one in that category that you didn't apply to?

Apply to 40 FORTY schools if you are a normal American. If you had good grades at an Ivy school or have a little something something ethnic you might be OK with 25 schools. A lot of clinical? 18-20 schools is good. You do not want to go through the process again. plan to have the time to write the secondaries ahead of time. You do not want to get through that process again. And everytime you reapply, your odds of getting in go down unless you work full time as a hands on health care worker for a year or two.

If you went to a state school, and you are a regular American, do not bother applying to the ivies Harvard, Yale, or John Hopkins.... Even if you have a 522, 3.99 science GPA, and published a first-author paper, they will not consider you. Why? they have 100 spots at each school and the ivies have to take care of their own. If you take a two-year sabbatical working as a teacher in some parts of Chicago or another disadvantaged area in a big city, well maybe.
