Haha, I recognise the low bridge at Norwood Junction. Having worked all my life for London Transport, I can't tell you the number of buses that have come to grief at that bridge, despite the warning signs. Loving your videos, keep up the good work !!

Always wanted to drive trucks but no way now with the way the roads are now, I would be stressing beyond belief, how you keep your calm is brilliant especially around London. i had to drive around it in a 350 transit and that was enough 😂.

Hey kev half way through the video however I just had to pause it to say this, you done a really really good job down that one way road! Not only did u have the stress of getting out of the collection point you then had to get down the worlds tightest road with expensive cars either side, that kind of driving takes skill and experience both of which u have massive amounts of! Then when it turned into a 1 way you did a top job mate! It takes a proper driver to stay calm and get the job done! You did an amazing job mate and I hope everyone takes a leaf out of your book because of that was me I would've gotten out the truck and started shouting! Everyone beeping at you must of really wound you up but you kept cool and done a fantastic job! Well done kev you are a top guy! Have a good week boss!

Great video as always. When you collect the Corsa in Norwood Junction area of Croydon, you sampled the pleasures of Croydons LTNs, basically closed roads. You have to be aware that Croydon, Lewisham boroughs to name a few, have also have roads that are closed, but there are no barriers. This is so residents (with permits), buses and emergency services can have access, but there are cameras to catch others. The trouble is that the signs are not always clear for some. A lot of people have been caught. So long as you know, you should be fine.

Norwood junction, Portland road. I used to drive the bus along there, many stories of new drivers hitting that bridge, especially when running out of service and just slips your mind going back to the garage

I planned a route out of the estate using Google maps only to find the road had COVID plant pots blocking my route so my only exit was the route I took 😂

@@KevTee - It's a bugger when you're taken off your route unexpectedly. I was pretty lucky - in all the years I was driving it really only ever happened twice. Once was when I was trying to deliver to the south of the Tyne; there was a dual carriageway with a lop-sided bridge with the low side in the lane I wanted. I had to go in the left lane but a bus got alongside me and I ended up going over the bridge into the city centre with no time to plan a way out of it. The other time was in Lancashire - the bridge map actually had the wrong height on it . . . A lynch mob of locals tried giving me a hard time, saying they were sick of HGVs coming up there all the time - until I showed them the bridge map.

Why do Trent's trust you with anything? Scania is still off the road and now a nice chip in the windscreen of the Renault! 😂 Transit's are always beaten up in London, we had one that in three years was on 14k miles but not a straight panel 🤷‍♂️ I had a 2.0TDi Audi A3 and that had weird engine problems at that sort of mileage, sold it to We Buy Any Car for very good money 💰 As we say to all good videos of yours, cheeeers!
