Migraine are caused by sensations of the surrounding tissues in the brain like the meninges and blood vessels. Sometime stress can increase b/p or pulse which expand vessel walls and meninges. This sends a signal to the brain and its perceived as pain which are some neurotransmitters like serotonin, glutamate and ACTH/Cortisol. The word ‘stress’ isn’t always referred to as a worried state of mind. Stress can be a physical state of the body, like reading or pore posture. The muscles can get fatigued which causes a referred pain pattern via cranial nerves, to different parts of the head.

how are the complexes of psychosexual development resolved before fixation develops; how is fixation avoided? Can great trauma caused to the developed mind (such as asphyxiation, drug overdoses, ptsd, etc...) cause the brain to in essence “start over” in its development resulting in a late life psychosexual redevelopment?

Yeah, if only she wasn't an anti-vaxxer. On a number of occasions she spoke in a way that could be tl;dr'd as "vaccines bad", and she only backpedaled on twitter after receiving a massive backlash. Her parenting practices are also extremely questionable.

@TheaDragonSpirit
@TheaDragonSpirit 4 жыл бұрын
@@JollyWanker She isn't an anti-vaxxer, she is against mandatory vaccination. Nothing wrong with that. There is situations in which vaccines can cause harm to people, and if you look at their medical history it would be wrong to give them a vaccine. Simply put, not everyone can take vaccines, and to force everyone to have vaccines would cause some people to become seriously ill, the whole point of vaccines is to prevent people becoming ill, which defeats the purpose of vaccines. Vaccines should always be a choice, and those that take a vaccine or get surgery or do any medical procedure, should research and be informed on what could go wrong, the pros and cons. When people ignore the cons, and have this blind faith in something, they cause problems in society, by having black and white thinking.
@JollyWanker
@JollyWanker 4 жыл бұрын
@@TheaDragonSpirit I'm not reading your novel why mandatory vaccination is bad, Karen. Vaccination is and *should* be mandatory. Vaccines save lives. If vaccination wasn't mandatory, we would have kids paralysed due to polio, and even more measles outbreaks than we have now. More infertile boys because they had mumps. Unless your kid has a severe reaction to a vaccine or they are immunocompromised, there is literally *NO* reason why you shouldn't vaccinate

Rather meet with one of your supposed ‘science buddies’ to discuss your superiority complexes and apparent social inabilities. Maybe they can understand you and look past your language impediments. Just to be clear I am not doubting Miss Bialik's potential one bit. Im pretty sure she earned her doctorate in Neurology and is way more knowldegable than I am in that subject. My point was the questions that are frequently googled are easy to answer. Im sure if she wanted to, she could go into the depths of the topic. But the problem with that would be, the video would get too technical and also difficult to understand for peeps with no background in Science.

Of course it's very easy to go into the more technical and complex aspects of the questions asked here, since many of them are broad, overarching questions that have ongoing research being performed to try to answer them. I think she did really well simplifying her answers! I'd think that any AP biology student or undergrad who has taken an introductory biology course could understand and recognize a lot of the terms being thrown around.

11:34 This was a question a few weeks ago on my grade 12 university biology exam. My answer was, “‘Cause without it you die and then there’s nothing to stasis homeo”. Full marks 😎. I love my teacher so much.

When she was explaining about why neurotransmitters are important I started to realized I am a person listening about neuroscience in another language that is not my mothertongue and still being all involved. Amazing.

Mayim, I went through a period of several years of migraines, and it turned out to be my endocrine system was out of whack; once I was put on two thyroid medications and my thyroid got happy, the migraines stopped. It could be just me, but I’d add bad endocrine support to the list of possible reasons.

I want to learn more about nerve pathology. I have lots of nerve issues that are annoying and yet fascinating. I don't like feeling like there's a needle stuck in my eye but it makes for a not boring existence in this body.
