Just wanted to add that I am an adult woman who often plays video games online. I often supervise a group of my friends young and pre-teen kids while they play. I understand why the online aspect can be scary to parents, but I think talking to your kids and understanding how it works is important. You can block "comms" so your kids can't talk or hear anyone else. There are still other people in the game, but there is no real interaction.

That was hilarious. It was like I was watching myself play! My sons play this game also. And I've tried it. First time it was in playground mode, is it? Him (9) and me, running around. Building. Exploring. But then I had to go my home (divorced, we played at his dad's house) so the darn kid switches to battle mode or something. Hunts me down and executes me on the spot, all cuz I couldn't find the right button to aim...I'm still in shock. But yay, fun game. Cool video. Let's vow to not do this again, lol.

I'm a gamer and it's a really sexist enviroment. I play swgoh and dragon age. I always use a kind of male name... unfortunately. My nick is RogueMorgothT when I wanna use just Angela :/ but I cant. Just google "gamer girl" and see wtf is that. I was crazy about lineage but all female caracter is a little cute baby 😐 it's so wrong! We deserves to choose strong female caracter too. In dragon age I'm a proud female dwarf warrior, with a 2 hands sword and I love it. Why they think that we don't play? We play, but with male names...for protection :( Speak for us, we are not little cute unicorns...

I talk about this all the time with my guy, we are both gamers and its frustrating that most games dont give the option. Whether carrying a sword or an AR15 a woman can deal damage too. And when you play a multiplayer a large percentage of men (and young men unfortunately) are very sexiest and speak awful towards a female voice on a mic. Its discouraging for my daughters too when they'd like to play once in a while. I think that in making more female options in games it would make some normalcy.

I was considering fortnight for my household due to its popularity. We won't be joining the trend since you can't choose a female character anyway. It is 2018. I am done waiting for some businesses to catch up to the fact that women outnumber men and should count.

There are both males and females characters, they're all from diferent races as well, but it's an aleatory thing. You can't choose them but if you want to choose you have the option to buy other characters of all genders and colors. One more thing, don't think about it as 'killing' someone. It's a game, you're just kicking them out of it.

You can play as female characters in the game. What he meant was that if she wants to use one she has to buy one but you also have to buy the male characters. If anything the female characters in the game are way more popular to use than the male ones and they all cost the same. Basically , Fortnite is dominated by the female characters.
