I'm real disappointed that Christy Carlson Ramono is on this and not Alexa Nikolas. I love your content and was really excited to watch this and woll not after all.

I am so enjoying this conversation. Learning and having my mind blown as well. But please stop saying “right?” after making points/comments. A pet peeve, maybe.

I know this doesnt compare. But when i got an eye exam. For some reason, when the light hit the depts of my brain: it was like time slowed down SO much, i heard a thousand thoughts run through my mind in a matter of seconds. The light scared me, i guess I've never experienced light that way before. And i understood why ppl are sometimes afraid of death. We're just afraid of the unknown.

Great conversation and points. Scheduling the most important things in our lives consistently, alongside what is considered critical, as well as time spent on less important and meaningless things can also drastical assist with ADHD, in my opinion. Kids can use visual schedules they actively participate in making or create themselves. There's no better support for a productive life and one they'll enjoy more when they see the choices they have and make. Steven Covey wrote an incredibly life changing book called, "First Thing First" that heavily outlines how to create our best lives. Whenever I schedule my time and evaluate it, I'm always able to communicate my boundaries much more clearly, stay more focused, and take greater ownership of my life. People have wild tendancies to over or under commit to things, or be honest about what's important to ourself, in order to please other people. Enjoy your talks Mayim!

I was like that - always needed others, always searching for approval and similar and being alone was like a death sentence. Then I was completely abandoned and left alone - I had no one. And then - I had a choice - die in my corner alone or fight. So I learn to love and appreciate myself, because I was the only company I had. Now, I still want cuddles and kisses and love, but I'm not addicted to it anymore. I'm curred. So it feels great when I get it, but I can go months without it too.

Only complaint is the Thrive Cosmetics sponsorship that is promoted... any of you that may use it BEWARE of the mascara. Made mine and my daughters eyelashes fall out. Stop using it, they grew back. It is a common problem if you look through comments on other ads for Thrive. I contacted Thrive and told them, they insulted me by saying I didn't understand how to use their mascara. So be wary if you use her code, just becautious fellow Breakdowners!!! Otherwise LOVE all that Mayim does and have no actual issue with any of the topics she covers.

I've watched a lot of your Breakdowns, but this is one of your best. Because of your similar pasts, I felt like Danielle was just sharing to her bestie. Even the way you listened and smiled as she spoke was on a different level. I hope you two can become friends from this point on - a positive and building each other up kind of friendship - a safe place to go when having to vent, as well. But, of course, ask what her mother thinks first! Just a thought.

It's less about genes and more about learned behavior. Learning to cope with problems by the way of a vice or people like hanging around you when you're drunk, because you're the funny guy. Couple with the perception if, "Everyone in my family does it, I have to, too."

So basically she doesn't want to be around people that she can't use, and thats loving yourself. Pretty evil idea. What did Jesus say: "Give or lend to people as if you aren't expecting it back". Which means do good to others. I don't look at my friends and think I need to get something from them, and that they're unattractive if they're poor. In fact I've had friends poorer than me and even just plain poor. I'd buy them lunch and take them places because I felt like being a support to a friend. Not a very smart PHD. She sounds like an evil person thats only opportunistic, psychopathic and predatory in viewing people as objects she can use. Its objectifying people based on what you can get out of them, and it is psychopathic because it shows a lack of empathy towards others who cannot satisfy you for your material needs. Do you really need that much validation that someone you see as worthless cannot validate your psychopathy, that you have to seek out others in a predatory way to use to get the validation for your own self love. Sounds like the art of being an a**hole
