Lol Zane is asking about Maynard's vocals and his music, yet Maynard is like that was a year ago. I'm deep in wine grapes...love it. First time I heard tool. I was 15 or 16yrs old. I'm 36yrs now...hidden songs, hidden images in albums. Yeah I'm high...and a life long fan. Yet never have I seen tool live. I have seen APC live however (long live Josh Freeze! Kicking doubles with a cast in Sac. Plus the amazingly talented The MarsVolta with Flea) I have Reasons for not seeing Tool live but yeah. He/They Helped me through life. *Peace*

John Womack I turned this one off after a few minutes cause the interview gets on my nerves but there are a few nuggets that give you a peek into their creative process which is cool. I should add once I went back and watched the whole thing.

Why do all interviewers ask him so much about his personal life? Who gives a shit? Ask more about the music, the band, playing live, lyrics, performance, vocal techniques. A million things other than him living in bloody Arizona.

Because he virtually gives you nothing about the music or its structures, many interviewers have tried! Maynard virtually bats away with its just art I only solve the puzzles etc etc... I'm not sure why he never expands on some of the beauty of his creations or his gifts but he pretty much shuts any inquiry on that level down... At a guess I'd say he's probably kind of insecure about his process to the general public and maybe only ever shows that side to his inner circle.
