Games about side characters are interesting to me, but there are easy explanations to why they typically aren't made for characters like Daisy. Mario is far more recognizable than Daisy, and Mario is the titular main character of the "Super Mario" series and brand, so naturally most games will be about Mario instead of Daisy in order for Nintendo to ensure good profit from the series and to prevent casual fans mistaking a "Super Mario" game as a game from a different series. Characters like Luigi, Wario and Donkey Kong have their own games because they are more prominent in the series and have gained recognition early on like Mario has, meanwhile Nintendo would need to put in more effort to make Daisy more iconic when it probably wouldn't be beneficial to put resources towards doing so.

@@justjames4 And that's why I don't like what Nintendo did to Daisy: Here we have a character, a princess even, that has more personality than Peach and is perhaps about as adventurous as Mario, and yet Nintendo barely uses her aside from a Mario sports game or a few. The case is that extremely rich companies need to make sure their brands are recognized, so unfortunately it would be unwise for Nintendo to risk making less of a profit by making a game about Daisy when hundreds of thousands of more people know about Mario and/or prefer him as the main character. If Nintendo wasn't as dominant with video games as it is right now, maybe it would make games about Daisy.
