If you like drama, you will love this movie! It's actually pretty good. It takes a LOT for a movie to hold my attention. This one did for the most part. I forwarded through parts of it, but I did watch enough to know what happened. I usually can watch a full hour and a half to two hour movie in 30 to 45 minutes. I give this 8/10

My grandmother was 16 in 1929. She told me what it was like. Times were so hard. But every Saturday they went to church. She got saved at age 11, when she died in 2007 the pastor of the seventh day Adventist Church said they keep good records and my grandmother had paid 10 percent to the church all those years, over 80 years she was faithful. My grandfather too. I know how poor they were growing up , and how they struggled. Yet they made something good out of life. A good family a nice home. when granddaddy died he left us something. And when grandmother died she was a wealthy lady. God is so faithful to those who are faithful to him. The people who grew up back then were strong hardworking faithful people. If only I could be half as strong and faithful. I sure admire people of that generation.

@FourHuskyHomestead
@FourHuskyHomestead 10 күн бұрын
@@annagonzalez6578 true. I understand that when God created earth 🌍 that Saturday had always been that 7 day. He worked 6 days and rested on the 7th. Monday being the first day. I know there are many calendars and Gods calendar has 12 months of 30 days each and every few years they add a 13th month. But the days on all the calendar’s are the same. With Saturday being the 7th day the sabbath day of rest. I just remember my grandfather holding me in the driveway after church and he made me promise him I would always remember the sabbath day and keep it holy. He died not long after that day. He knew he had cancer but he didn’t tell us. It was too far gone and nothing to do but live out his days. There was my grandmother, my mother and me. He took care of us girls. My grandmother didn’t drive and my mother had to work weekends because my dad left. So I saw a bus in my neighborhood. “ the happy bus “ It came on Sunday but it would take me to church. And I figured any church would be better than not going. Plus they gave us donuts. I was 6 and kinda on my own my mom & grandma were in their own grief an I knew I had to go on. I spent 3 years at the church of Christ and even got a few plaques for perfect attendance. But I knew things were not right. And I told them all the time “ we really should be having church on Saturday “ . They just let me express my opinion. And I told them too how much I love music an I would be learning to play an instrument. Lol . I ended up visiting all kinds of churches and I went to every vacation Bible school within walking distance. Or went with a friends family my grandmother learned to drive. But she was real sick , her back hurt her so much . I thought as a kid an even young adult that it was her excuse not to go to church by saying it hurt her back to set on the wooden pew. But at age 22 I was in a plane crash and I eventually learned that my grandmother had psoriatic arthritis because I developed it too an my spine was greatly affected. So all those year my “ franny “ was really in pain and the pew hurt her to set through the service. After i became disabled I started having church at home with my husband. He was raised much like me in church with very faithful grandparents. We did deep studies. We learned more in a few years than we had our entire lives going to church. Every week we got a new Bible study. We did 3 on revelation. And I read it over 300 times. I did not get it till one day like a (down load ) it came to me. And I received that blessing the king James states everyone who reads revelation will get. You know that’s the only book that states you will receive a blessing for reading it. So I don’t go out to a church. Haven’t in years but if I listen to a service held by the seventh day Adventist Church I feel so comfortable. It’s like it brings me back to the safe place in church again with my family. Of course I agree with all the teachings. I love the music and sings. I still remember my sabbath school teacher and how she told us about praying for something she needed for her class and how her prayers were answered. I’ve had many prayers answered received many blessings. Even was visited by my guardian angel. Yes ! It happened. I was only 5. Before granddaddy died. So I’ve known most my life that Jesus is real and heaven too. We have so much to look forward to. It’s getting close. Closer every day. Sometimes I try not to think about it because I don’t want to leave my children. Or my husband. But maybe we will be called home together. A Lot of people talking about the rapture. What I feel in my heart is we go through tribulation. But what ever or how ever it happens Jesus will be with us. Angels of God will be with us. time is short for Satan and his minions. They are trying to impose as much control and power and manipulation an harm on us because they want so badly to pull us down with them. No matter what they do praise Jesus! Never take the “mark “. God will provide all our needs. Someone taught me in my spiritual journey that if things are real bad and you keep getting more evil thrown at you to get ready because a huge blessing is coming. I have found that to be true. Hope to see you in heaven Ann. I’m sure we will know each other. I hope you will vote this November. Not everyone likes Trump but he sure has not given up on us. And he has done more for the hurricane victims than the US gov. He would have even with no elected coming. He’s got a big heart for the US citizens. And the this beautiful country. He wants to make things good again. A safe place with higher standards and a strong military. Please vote for him. I think I like Mr Vance too. I saw him walking around with storm victims trying to figure out how to make things better. He seems genuine. This country was damaged very badly. I know entire towns are just gone. My daughter is a doctor in south Florida. She got blessed. But where we just helped her move from this past July it’s a mess. Lots of damage. An the year before she was interning in Bradenton beach. It’s bad ! Anna Maria island gone. I think 7 states suffered horrific damage. Lose of life , I’ve heard 1000 are still missing. I’m so sorry they are suffering. My daughter is only 25 she’s doing her residency. So she’s going to be there a long time. She knew from age 5 that she wanted to be a doctor, she even wanted to be a doctor in Florida. God sure is good ! He gives us our hearts desires. Ann , I pray you are safe and very comfortable in life ! Keep praying 🙏 God bless you! Leslye

Isn't she a beauty! There is an AMAZING story behind that truck. It was rebuilt from top to bottom. The owners call her their baby, and park her inside the special area inside their home! Fun trivia...all those scenes of Teddy driving the truck, the crew were pushing it from behind. The ending where he is racing away , the driver is actually the owner. We were too afraid to damage the truck in any way, so we had to fake it! 🤫

@@lesliegoyette6467 What a great job of filming it while the car was being pushed.. I love info like that! Leslie, sorry, but the ending was very confusing, to at least a few of us, so can you help? 😬 We understand the boys are brothers. But why couldn't she keep William, where was her husband, war? Whose grave were they at when a young boy narrates that she lost her husband and baby too, when her husband is with her at a grave.. ? How long ago was husband killed in that train accident. Sorry...

@@59Alaskan these are all GREAT questions and thank you so much for watching Maysville! I agree with you, the ending is rushed! But due to guidelines we had to edit the film down to a certain time frame or else it could not be shown on certain platforms. There is an entire backstory to Maysville that we couldn't show. Clara and Buck were childhood sweethearts. For reasons I won't share, their families tore them apart (when Buck went to war). When Buck came back, he was broken hearted when Clara wed John, as John had a well paying job with the railroad that offered financial security in poverty stricken Appalachia. From too many lonely nights (John would take long hauls on the railroad), and being so far from her family, Clara had an affair with Buck. When she became pregnant, she had to hide the birth from John, telling him she had lost their baby to cover up the age of the child ( that was the grave she and John are standing in front of). She sent the baby home with Buck, and Buck kept their secret, thinking all the time Clara would come back to him, especially when John died. When she didn't that was Bucks turning point , and dove heavily into drinking and rage. He then grew angry towards Clara, but held on to Willy, with the smallest of hope that she would come back to him. I hope this helps, and I thank you SO much for watching Maysville! Because people like you give us small filmmakers a chance with no big superstars in front of the camera, we are able to share our stories. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

@@lesliegoyette6467 I was sure hoping you would help.. I so dislike when an ending of a movie leaves out so much.. especially if it is a true story..? Was it?? Ok, I kinda thought all that thru, well some, but of course not the details you shared!! The fact that John knew she was pregnant, and miscarried, was what threw me off.. Why did she even let him "know" that much, at least for some of us, that are confused...or just doesn't make sense, to us! 😬 I have seen a few of your movies but didn't realize where they came from, just thought a KZbinr found some movies and shared them..something else that is new, that I just learned, thnx! All those cars and trucks were DONATED by the beautiful people from Centralia Washington. So much time went into restoring Teddy's truck as it was salvaged from a scrap yard! Can you believe that? The sheriff's car, Buck's truck, and several others are in ORIGINAL condition! The old tractor was donated by a tractor museum also in Centralia Washington. It was such an incredible experience having a community embrace us to help get the film made. It was because of this small town and its residents that the illusion of the 1920's was created. I loved this! I do wish the writer would've taken just a little more time to explain and tie up the loose ends... Not that I didn't understand, but I had to stop the emotions and go into thinking mode at the end to understand the 'big reveal'. I wish it was just a little slower in unraveling so we could experience the emotion of it all. Don't mean to sound like I'm complaining... it was an absolutely wonderful story... and I would watch any spin-off or part 2 etc... in a second. I hope we get more... if not of the same story... I would love more of the same good writing and wholesome experience!
