Absolutely every child deserves a loving safe home. My daughter is a social worker and she’s just starting out in this work. I am super sad to say that in a few years after seeing all the bad out there that she’s going to be disillusioned. Right now she’s fighting for the kids and I mean she is a kid person. I hope it stays this way.

As a foster MaMa of 26 years this broke my heart… I just can’t fathom the abuse and cruelty that precious and vulnerable children are subjected to at the very hands of those entrusted to care… We have received broken little people into our home , broken from the very system they were placed in to … It takes years to gently peel back the layers and rebuild… Countless hours I have cried and prayed with every fibre of my being that our love will help heal the wounds. Kudos to you and your wife, sir. This is only human decency and should be the way that all children are treated, but unfortunately not all people are like that. Lots of people are just in it for the money. Lots of people don’t think of children as people. They think of them as a possession and something that they can boss around and control. This movie made me cry and cry because I know that Jamal‘s not the only kid out there who suffered at the hands of adults or other children in the home because people weren’t observant enough.

Movies like this are very important in relation to shinning a light on the dehumanizing of children in care! Social Worker here and I have worked with Aboriginal/Criminal Justice for over 45+ yrs and we are beginning to make changes for the better - a long way to go but getting the public to realize just how deep and pervasive child abuse is, particularly SA and Satanic abuse! Goes right to the highest echelons of government, Hollywood, residential schools and the constant sexualizing and grooming of children apparently in every system - education - health - food - security etc….

No one hears the silent tears of children and of the abused. You don't have to be a foster child to have experience abuse while you were a child. ,, as adults we often face abuse and cruelty. Racism causes PTSD but it's the 21st century the year of Our Lord 2024 and every day because of the color of our skin we face microaggression and racial discrimination and blatant racism. While this movie may be hard to watch adults Behavior towards a child. We are hard-pressed to take a look in the mirror as adults and the type of pain inflicted on adults that causes abuse funneled down to children innocent children. Someday we're going to all have to face the judgement bar of the creator and give an account.🎉 adult monsters are created.😮

The sad thing is that this movie is based on actual cases that the film-maker worked on as an attorney. I worked in a Juvenile Dentention Centre in my country, Guyana, where I encountered boys and girls who have suffered from some of the worst forms of abuse, often by family members. We live in an extremely cruel world where even the most vulnerable among us are trampled upon. It's a very sad reality. I often felt like screaming. It pains me everyday that the very people who are supposed to PROTECT the children, are the ones that VIOLATE them. The world needs more people to stand up for kids. May God help us all.

It's my second time to watch this movie coz I am fond of watching trials in court. This was a good movie to watch especially those running a foster homes.Pls.treat those foster children as your own child coz they also needs a true love & care which they didn't experienced from their own parents. I"m in tears watching this coz Jamal was been fostered 12x & suffered tremendous pain, hardly beaten, put into cage as if he's an animal but the worst experienced he had was when he was raped for 3 years & no action from the foster care. Thanks to his counsel who believes in him & to all the jurors who found the dependant guilty & asked to pay Jamal $32M.

What a great movie! So many great wonderful actors I've watched thru the years! Such an important topic even today. Hope the problems can be worked out. There are many issues in family services I think too with abuse so easily hidden and workers over worked and understaffed. I was molested by family members several times at age 5. While not the same system... still the same effects of PTSD syndrome, behavior issues, trust issues...I got psychological treatment and counselling therapy for several years. Well that was in my 30's after going to rehab and started remembering it!!! I can relate to this and know some of the impact abuse can have on you! So thank you thank you thank you all who made this story and movie! Top notch!!+❤

If at all possible, take care of your babies. The loving, caring, nurturing foster homes are the exception. This movie depicts what happens in the majority of them. Any horrible, disgusting, lowdown thing you can imagine, the devil has already done it. We are not ignorant of Satan's devices 🙏!!!

The loving nurturing foster homes are few and far between. The good ones usually only take babies. I was seven when I went in care and I never got any nurturing. I only dreamt about it.

A very serious problem, thank you for sharing this movie, bringing this to the people. To many people turn a blind eye to this because they don't want to acknowledge that it exist. Thank you again.

Was very touching. I was even crying. Teaches us alot of what happens with children and they are not able to express themselves when things like that happen. It totally destroys a child mentally and physically. Some people are just interested in the money. Thats why money is the root of all evil....😢

Money isn't the root of all evil, money is a tool that can be used for good or bad. Its actually the love of money thats the root of all evil.

I was in the system and I had a horrible experience from bad abusive foster parents and their biological children (adults) but I'm still in contact with my foster sisters from my last home
