Great vid, nice and instructive! Cleaning the filter is indeed the first step but in my case, a rubber band went through the filter and wrapped itself around the impeller of the pump. It caused the drain pump to malfunction either totally or partially at random. I could move the impeller with my finger, felt a bit of resistance but I thought it was normal. So next step I'd suggest to remove the pump motor from the pump assembly, it's very easy, and do a visual inspection of the propeller.

Some are made to look like they have a lower panel, but you actually need to remove the whole front panel.

Ok team so I just did this and remember to replace the cover or else you get another error code. But this works think of it as your washers lint trap

How does the machine know that the access panel is off? If this is true why would the washing machine send power to the impeller with the access panel off?

I have the same washer I got it free because the door was stuck locked. The woman said it drained completely before I picked it up but she had to have not noticed it still had alot of water in it. So we dumped the water by removing the back panel and hose and brought it home. I unlocked the door by pulling the lever under the lock internally. Plugged everything up and it turned on perfectly fine and started working. Then my toddler came along and pressed some buttons in a flash an error code popped up. I didn't get to see if the thing spun out good or drained. Now it says the door is locked again and has water in it. I unplugged it for 5 mins and the door stayed locked so I manually unlocked it again. And then tried to start the cycle. It still pops up the error code. E1 f1.. do you think it's the control board?

Your right, main control board. I would pop the top and then disconnect and reconnect each wire connection .

@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel I haven't done this yet but I did check for power to the pump and it did have power. So I took the pump out and disconnected it from the coin catcher. It didn't easily utmost and with a little force a very warn penny flew out of the pump itself. Even though the propeller would turn freely. I don't have anyway to test the pump since I don't have a car battery or vehicle rn lol. The pump is $37 on ebay. Do you think I should try it if it's free returns
