A 1963 Maytag A700 washer. This is the 2nd load (in an hour) after having been sitting the last 7-8 months.

great gentle rollover....Maytag when they built solid washers

This Maytag washer delivers great rollover for the agitating speed, and just enough detergent was added to create a nice thin layer of suds. Good Job!

I love this washer. I have this priest friend and in the rectory he has this washer. I've offered to by him any washer he wants so to get this washer. No luck as of yet.

I think this is what my mom had, but it was brown, if I remember correctly. I don't remember her filling the agitator though... Then again, knowing my mom, she might not have known about that feature.

The same agitator speed as the wringer washer, at least on the older automatics!

In the malleys Whirlpool washer it had a spin drain instead of a neutral drain

Did this Maytag have an illuminated control panel? It looks like it does but in your video it was not lit. Great video/demo!

oh that must be why the European detergents clean so much better. I use Persil even though it can be hard to get

I question just came in to my head.... When you set to, say 12 minutes, does it start counting down right away, or does it wait untill the tub is full of water, and the washing starts?
