Over 5 years later... and your video is still awesome. Wife was searching online for a new dryer... and I was searching online for the old manual to compare with newer models and this video popped up. So instead of a new dryer... @@theworldhadteeth My baffle still had both screws in it so no fuss, no foul. It's currently drying a load. 💪🏻 We've had a really bad, loud squeal at startup for a while so I put on some STP belt dressing while I was in there. Is squealing typically indicative of the belt being old or is it usually the little roller wheels or maybe a bearing? Sounds like a dog being beaten... 🤔 🇺🇸

So awesome, thank you so much! Knocked this out in under a half hour and the bolts were just loose and still in place. One gotcha: the hooks that hold the top down can be flipped, make sure you get them back in the same direction they came out as, look for the wear pattern from the 5/16" screw that's coming out.

Thanks for the informative video! I have a question I'm hoping you can answer. I believe I have a very similar model. The label says it's a MDE6200AYW. When I got it it was missing a baffle. I checked a parts diagram and it listed a short and a tall one. The two I had were the same size, so I took a guess and ordered a tall. The part I got is the same size as the two that are already installed. Does your dryer have 1 shorter baffle or are they all the same size?
