What's the part number?? For the heating element from Amazon
@LAapplianceguy4 ай бұрын
@@KarlBerlin I would be careful with “some” of the Amazon elements. I can tell when they come in with them. They usually only last a month or so. But the part number for this particular unit is wp3387747. I would go with the factory one if you can. Not the cheap cheap ones. You need to look it up by the model number to make sure you get the proper element for your dryer.

I cannot get the screw to go back in the heating element

@@CedDreshaunJones yes sometimes they don’t want to line up. I have been known to leave the screw holding the element out. Shhh 🤫. Haha that thing is wedged in there so tight it ain’t going nowhere

@LAapplianceguy2 ай бұрын
@@CedDreshaunJones you are talking about the one that goes side ways into the element itself right? If so then yes I have left them out because the element is wedged so tight it won’t move. I try to get them in but sometimes they just won’t thread into it

@@CedDreshaunJones yes sometimes you get a weird “new element smell” is what we call it. It will burn off. I think it’s just oils from manufacturing it

Great video, I believe our Maytag Bravos XL Dryer heating element is out as well. Would it be covered under the manufactures warranty?
@LAapplianceguy4 ай бұрын
@@remuskey thank you for the kind words. elements are covered under the 1 year warranty from the manufacturer. Don’t think they cover it longer than that. Easy fix though.

my dryer is not turning on at all. the thermal fuse has been replaced, do you know if the heating element would cause the dryer to not turn on??
@LAapplianceguy4 ай бұрын
@@jolishamona the element shouldn’t stop it from coming on. It will usually run but not heat up. If the thermal fuse is new check the door switch and start switch. And also power. Then it could possibly be in the control/timer. All of this depends on what kind of unit it is too. But definitely check the door switch next. Hope that helps.
