Read the fine print. Oh, always! You folks in the South aren't the only ones dealing with freeze-ups. You'd think people around here would know better, but my brother and his people have been hopping non-stop on exactly the same nonsense. We have a few rentals. In each, I have a hidden, mechanical room thermostat which is set to 60°F. You wouldn't believe how often renters turn the heat on the accessible thermostat 'off' or so far down the place would freeze up when they go away for a while. It's in the fine print of their lease agreements. Never, yet, has anyone read that far.
