Maytag Centennial Washer MVWC400XW3 not spinning nor draining

Washer stopped spinning, took it apart to figure what was wrong with it. Turns out belt was loose, caused by loose nut. Tightened nut, spinning well again. Also took out the drain pump to see if anything was stuck in there. I found two small twigs, lols.

It helps if you use locktight on the threads.. That nut is a common problem.

Was your "spin" light flashing? I have the same washer and it just stopped spinning. It drains, but won't spin...the "spin" light flashes.Just trying to trouble shoot at this point

I have a Maytag Centennial washer that won't drain. It does everything except drain. If there's no water inside because I manually drained the water then i can turn on the "drain & spin" cycle which will then start the spin cycle. If there's any water inside and I try to turn on the drain & spin cycle it will do nothing as if the machine is not even plugged in. Any idea why this would be?

Sorry, I no longer own this washer. But looking at the parts available and folks' description of the drain pump replacement process, the tub spin is not related to the drain pump. www.partselect.com/PS11751719-Whirlpool-WPW10276397-Drain-Pump-120V-60Hz.htm

Which part did u replace on the pump just the whole white part or all white and grey?

actually I did not replace any parts, just tightened the crap out of that nut
