I really do want to see Spence and Thurman because I think Spence is much better technically and he is probably one of the stronger punchers in the division. My only question right now would be how well he handles the pressure mentally. I haven't seen him tested, but that can be attributed to how good he is technically. The fights are definitely won in the gym. My trainer always told me that your technique has to be second nature so you don't have to think about acting and reacting. I think Spence is already there. If anything, Thurman might want to test this kid right now because if he gets two more fights under his belt before it happens, Spence will be so sharp and confident that he might just make Thurman look like a bum. I want to see that fight before the year is out.

Keith Thurman should have taken the fight with Spence Jr on Mayweather's under card. I say that because although it would have been a risk for Thurman to fight Spence Jr, Thurman has more ring experience and a lot of intangibles. In my opinion, instead of chasing Mayweather for the huge payday like Thurman was doing at the time, and i don't believe for one second he had any chance at beating Mayweather, but if Thurman had fought Spence Jr and won he would have made a lane for himself and impressed a lot of people. I mean back when Mayweather was coming up through the ranks he was on a few under cards but in time he beat some of those same fighters who wouldn't give him a shot. My point is timing is everything and Keith "One time" Thurman may have quite possibly missed his opportunity to build his on thing off of his name and not chasing after greatness.
