Hello from Lebanon🇱🇧🇱🇧, my beautiful country and Mayyas' beloved country! Mayyas entered this competition for Lebanon, and won the golden buzz from Sophia Vergara! In this act, you can see them illustrating the cedar shape (Lebanon is the country of cedars), and the music and the dance is "Oriental"! I think you have to check their first dance, and their semi- final dance! Very proud of them in the difficult time we're passing through in my country! All the love!

You will be mesmerised by their other performances (AGT, BGT Champions and Arabs Got Talent). This was beautiful but not as complex as their other performances, since they only had 4 days to prepare for the final. The imagery was firstly of a bridal gown, which then became a cedar tree with snow in winter (The cedar is the symbol of Lebanon). The runner up was equally as brilliant and inventive, Kristy Sellars. As to what style of dance this is.. it's not so much dance as 'dance art', which incorporates some Lebanese style belly-dance and anything else they manage to squeeze in depending on what story is being conveyed.

Their semi-final Snake show is fire 🔥🔥 Howie said it was the best act he has seen during 17 seasons. It took 4 months of preparation while this one took only 4 days. I posted a video of them dancing Hip Hop and it’s amazing. Crazy how they are skilled in many dance styles!!

No exaggeration, they didn't just prepare for four days. It would have been impossible. They already had this routine. Kristy Sellars as well. Drake had the most time and performed the same song as in the audition :D

@@peopleonthebridge124 They've been together for 10 years, so would have performed similar routines. Nadim said after the semi-final that he had a concept in his mind but that it wasn't finalised, and they hadn't begun rehearsing. They obviously had the costumes ready to go.

Howie also told Blake Milligan at the semis, he was sure he would win this thing. Then he said “Vote America”. Then after this group won - he told America they were the best he’d seen in 17 years? Ok, which is it? I really wonder if part of the win is which one is best suited for Vegas (where they go after the win). Probably not a lot of country music stars there as much as winning and going to Nashville. I though this had shades of questions about voting.

@@LaurieRein I think they are pretty talented and versatile. I posted a video of them dancing Hip Hop and it’s amazing!! If you see it you will know what I mean. They are skilled in many styles and their perfect synchronization puts put them in a similar category as the world-class ReQuest crew that was a phenomenon in 2015.

So yes I thought the semi final performance was the best dance I've ever watched in AGT. Then I saw this final and definitely thought it was lacking. However, I see people mentioning that they pulled the final off with only 4 days of preparation. Taking that into consideration, the final was pretty damn good too.But seriously watch their semi final performance. It's pure art!

To answer you , the girl dancing on top in the beginning was doing oriental dancing (we don’t call it belly-dancing 😊) the band as a whole is doing creative dance art mixing several styles (folklore, hip hop, etc) to paint gorgeous pictures such as the dress which changed into the bird and the cherub

They are from middle east “Lebanon” and they dance oriental dance. You have to watch the semi finals and the audition they were incredible 😍 they said that they had a limited time of training for the final act they trained for 5 days only but for the semifinals they had 4 months of training.

These girls were just incredible ❤️ As much as I loved this performance, I will definitely say their first two were EVEN more incredible than this. To my understanding, because they were the last act to go during the 5-week semi-final rounds, they had the least amount of time to get this act down than the rest of the contestants. Regardless, I’m so happy that they won! They were my favorite act on AGT and I’ve watched for years.

You don't seem to know but this is not a Bollywood performance because it isn't Indian music at all. The Mayyas are Lebanese and they are performing to Arab music. Arab culture, nusic and dance is very rich and interesting. I'm sure you 'll enjoy it if you listen to world music more...

They started with a Lebanese cedar tree then the wing thing is the Phoenix, elements of phoenician heritage we Lebanese are proud of. The dance is middle Eastern/Mediterranean called belly dancing and the music is oriental of also middle Eastern. They had to train 5 days for the final performance, so yeah they are amazing. I would like to see your reaction to their performances. The mayyas have created their style with tradition and mix of other dances.

First of all is not a white dress , it is the cedar tree under the snow with the branches moving right and left , then it is the Phoenix the bird than the egg .... both the Phoenix bird and the Cedar tree are lebanese symbols . I want to mention too that the dance is arabic and the music is a mix between arabic and thechno. The final scene is the tree of light .

Great performance. A good show for Vegas. But I prefer Sara, her performance is an international tour performance. And her music video for "Somebody" from Eurovision Junior last year, shows she's ready for stardom.

Actually I would say that the style of dancing conceptually is based on a traditional East Asian style of dancing kzbin.info/www/bejne/onWahHWdgdudp7s However, not an expert per say, but I have seen this Chinese group before. But what I find ASTOUNDING is that the Mayyas take & update THE ENTIRE CONCEPT with a whole western (opposite side of the continent) Arabic twist on the Asian style of dancing. It combines elements of pop music & traditional Arabic music with Lebanese/Arabic belly dancing. Major differences of the Thousand hand style (granted this group I mentioned is all performed by hearing & speech-impaired Chinese women) the front dancer in the line hardly moves at all while the focus stays on all the hands. With the Mayyas twist the frontline focal point moves all the time and the movements of the dancers behind enhance or oppose what the front dancer is doing and the focus is entirely on the front dancer as well as the line. DUUUDE!! I CAN’T STOP WATCHING THESE INCREDIBLE PRODUCTIONS OF ALL OF THESE TRULY TALENTED LEBANESE DANCERS! there is a constant ebb and flow to all of the movements & it all is in sync with the music. All three productions are PERFECTION & ARE TRULY INDESCRIBABLE! My best friend I met at college was from Macedonia and he cultured me on Balkan folk music and I have always loved the style of music. We had many friends in our circle who were from Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and other middle-eastern countries. Brings back many fond memories of my times partying with them, drinking lots of Arabic coffee & lots of alcohol. ❤🥲 Congrats to the MAYYAS FOR WINNING AGT!!!! @@lana-ss6lo thank you for sharing this with me! I see all the Arabic elements for sure. My thoughts was that when all of the girls are lined up it reminded me most of the Chinese style. But the shapes and movement are not “pop-into place moves,” they are continuously moving along with the music and the illusions they create are not statuesque but constantly in motion. It’s just beautiful to behold. I have had only a limited exposure to Arabic dancing essentially what I saw a long time ago. ☺️ thank you for confirming that it is strictly Arabic & not pop dancing. ❤️ the product they make & the story they shared!

Bollywood is Indian move industry. This is belly dancing, originated in the Middle East as a fertility dance pre Islam. All Arab countries has belly dancing, let it be north Africa like Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, or Lebanon, Turkey etc. The music is also typical Middle Eastern. Lebanon is south of Turkey, east of Syria, and north of Israel along the eastern coast of the Mediterranean sea. As a dancer, the reason why people look at others is because they don’t know the dance, they don’t memorize it for them selves. They worry about everyone else. I don’t do choreo tho.

Interesting - I think this is a typical Vegas show which I think is where they are headed with this win. I didn’t think they were perfectly in sync but a fun act to watch. Also assume the other two up for the championship were not exactly Vegas type but I don’t know.

Their final performance PALES in comparison to the 2 earlier ones. This is a glorified Hawaiian hula dance followed by gimmicky light bulbs to the beat of an 80s synthesizer. There's none of the precision, synchrony and deeper motifs of the earlier dances. They're lucky to have won on the back of this performance .
