They did a joint skit with me and got a non working captured person to act it out before he went. He was telling me how he called out his military for calling them nerfs and he was trying to help them make their gear better. He was saying he dad had a shop and milled them on their own. I wasnt sure what that meant at the time..hadn't heard the term mill before. Then the did him for fake nerf call outs.. You're gear sucks. It has play and probably does fall still before it gets to the target. Materials, and construction/tooling to ensure proper play is important for energy loss. construction of other components is equally important for function.

Why this king of machining doesnt need a coolant?

Coating
@alexanderneumaier1221 Жыл бұрын
My boss used to explain it like this: The tungsten of the tooth heats up during the contact with the material, the moment the tooth comes out the material it gets flushed with coolant and instantly cooled down. This makes the tungsten and coating wear down faster. It is like hitting it in its face every time the tooth comes out of material.

@@alexanderneumaier1221known sometimes as thermal cracking, I was cutting monel with a high feed face mill getting nowhere. Turned the coolant off and it worked a treat. Generally speaking the heat leaves with the chips . Or at least that’s the aim.

It all looks cute when machining stuff like this, but i´m going to tell you, wait untill you have to machine welded parts. All distorted, not even by being a magician you will have a perfect part. Let´s say you´ve got 10-15 parts you have to process, and all of them are distorted in diffrent ways. Then there´s no fun what so ever doing. Just sayin.

Its all fun and games until your employer tells you to stop wasting so much cutting bits cuz you burn them on "fast" milling without using coolant

Gnorantiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!

we some machines that ONLY cut dry. It’s all about application, knowledge and tooling. I encourage my guys to push harder but smarter work to limits but within limits . Practice what you preach not what you guess you know. And remember “IF IN DOUBT ASK” 👌
