"robot snorting material"... I found it very funny xD

I've already seen a lot of work with robots and stuff like that made by other companies… and it's nothing Mazak can keep up with others, but as former service engineer of Mazak I can honestly say that you won't find machines anywhere which are so accurate and reliable as Mazak machines… and I worked for several cnc-machine manufacturers… so: really good job Mazak

I worked as a field engineer for them many years ago when the machines were blue were pretty cool to work on. Boy have they changed!

How about DMG? Aren´t they better? or what is your opinion? Im currently operating a Mazak 510C-2
@Benni008
@Benni008 3 жыл бұрын
@@kabbe1346 I worked at DMG in Pfronten for about two years. If you want quality keep don't take DMG. They aren't that accurate and longstanding as mazak, no machines are. At DMG they pitch the axis at least 1mm that they can keep the tolerance. Mazak usually don't pitch their axis, so mechanically they are way better

@@Benni008 Ive never operated dmg so i cant chose which is the best. But im impressed with Mazak's quality after many years. We always serve and try to keep our machines in its best quality. :)

That's kind of a old-school way to go about it isn't it? The material flow I mean, not the workstations. These days the direction is to lay out the workstations in a grid and have omni-wheeled robots shuttle material and tooling where ever it needs to go. Such topology is much more flexible and scales better, compared to having everything on rails. Heck you can even have it span multiple floors by just teaching the bots to take an elevator, fits any floor plan etc. And whenever you need manual access anywhere it's as easy as walking there. Plus it ties better with warehousing and doesn't care one whit about what kind of machines you lay out of the floor, as long as it can accept parts from the robo-cart you can add machines with any functionality. Maybe you want to add machines that do laser engraving, anodization, paint jobs, blow jobs, whatever, you don't really want to be tied to just what Mazak has on offer. And if you need some manual ops, well that's the simplest work cell of them all to add.
