Another amazing video. One thing you demonstrated here beautifully and what I LOVE about acrylics is the versatility - it can be really frustrating to paint wet-on-wet in acrylic and seem impossible to replicate an oil approach but you have shown how you can still create paintings that look like oils without the oil!

Hi... i love following your tutorials. I have become a better artist because of you. Watching your tips, i wanted to mention that once i have my background done and dried. I use colored chalk to outline my vase and even select the placement and size of flowers. It works well for me because i can modify and make changes easily by wiping the chalk off with a dry paper towel and redo it again. Thank you again...Ken from Boston

Who remembers the video ... Is this dress blue and black or white and gold? That video sprung to mind because at the beginning ... 'tone the canvass' .... you said the paint colour you used was grey .... I absolutely saw that paint ... as GOLD lol. Did anyone else see gold? This freaked me out somewhat LOL!! Other than that ... Thank you for these tips .. I am a beginner and loving learning. Video's like your's ... are a great help to me. Liked and subscribed x
@MazArtStudio5 жыл бұрын
it is grey, using black white and a touch of burnt umber to warm it, but yes my video camera has picked up a yukky goldish color - I am still new to this editing lark :-) I will try to learn something about how to color correct videos ;-) To be honest you can tone your canvas with any colour and often it is good to use a complimentary color such as an orange (if you are working on something that has a lot of blue etc) but as this is a top tips video working with grey is very easy. I hope that makes sense.

Jennifer Long beyond annoying. I thought I was alone, or being petty, but it never fails, my paint is drying whilst I wait for their inside jokes get dragged out. I just want to pay attention and learn. Even the taping is clear here, and very visible, not convoluted with 6 different camera views at one time, like it's necessary to sacrifice canvas room, so we can see the hubby also working in a tiny frame. Smh 🤦🏻♀️
