The unknown. Rather stick w/ my vehicle & my vehicle history

@yzinger9878 another used vehicle is unknown problems. I would rather stick w/the vehicle I have & know the maintenance/history of past problems.

Quick question, did you have it rebuilt at a local shop or dealership? I'm about to send mine out this week, I hope it's a TCM not the transmission 😥

Sorry what was the original problem?

The TCM's in these cars are junk, just get a new factory Mazda control unit. It's a plug and play. I've done 3 dozen or more of these now.

The problem is that the area is was originally placed overheats the component and basically damages it. It’s a manufacturing mistake and extremely common with these cars.

Hey Steve so although I changed the location and now is working fine with no issues no AT light Or Engine light should I still purchase a new TCM and replace it?
@stevenpepka826710 ай бұрын
In my opinion it will eventually fail again in the right conditions and it may do it at a bad time. If it was my car, I put a new one in.

Will this cause any damage to the brake lines after time with jossling and bumps from the added wait of the Tcm tied to the brake lines?
@jacksdad26262 ай бұрын
No problems yet. The tcm is mere ounces in weight
@GMoney-B2 ай бұрын
@@jacksdad2626 good point. I might make a bracket too just so it doesn’t get banged if I hit a pot hole or bumpy roads. Might not make a bracket even though it would be satisfying to make. Probably won’t. We’ll see. Haha

Every car is going to have issues of some kind. In my experience I’ve had zero issues on my 12’ m3 since I got it in 14’. Been the best car I’ve ever used. Gotta replace parts eventually or sometimes.
