Is there a chance coolant would get mix with the transmission fluid if a radiator is bad?

I like your video because I changed my valve cover gasket and found that same leak close to the water pump. There is a small gasket, about 2" long, that is on that piece just behind the water pump pulley. It's part AJ57-10-193. If you are more OCD, you can also replace the gasket on that part, gasket part GY01-12-601. Another thing I learned is that the belt is a stretch fit and should be replaced. Most places have it for under $15.

Nice video! Very helpful. The layout of the cooling system on these is painful & there doesn't seem to be as much information on the V6/3.0's. My '06 recently blew a hose & briefly overheated. After replacing it, it was really difficult refilling the very dry system. Having the handy pressure checker you used would've been a game changer! Without it, it was really hard to fill the radiator from the reservoir. I read a few tips & tricks.... But it had me stumped. Got it, & so far, so good!

Pretty good video. Great job. I just finished replacing a radiator in my 2005 mazda 6 3.0l . It was a pain removing everything and I didn't see or hear you mentioned anything about transmission fluid loss and how to replace it.

Awesome video man, really appreciate them! I'm working on the same car and it's got an oil leak from the cam cover in the area of the water pump. Can't really tell if it's where you put RTV or the cam shaft seal. My question to you is did you change the cam shaft oil seal and if so, do you have to remove the water pump pulley? Or can you change that seal once you get the cam cover off?

had to replace the water pump housing and thermostat myself. Have a 2006 mazda 6 s . Cant seem to find any information on the Engine coolant temp sensor, Do you know the location of it?

I believe it is on the driver's side by the battery box, in that general area from what I recall.

I have a 2004 mazda 6 i have been trying to put some steel sealer in it coz i ve spotted leaked oil around the cylinder head as the steel sealer company recommends to pour this into radiator reservoir but I couldn’t find this maybe they might have dislocated it, or idk, or they integrated into coolant reservoir need help guys

The reservoir is a plastic tank on the passenger side fender well. I wouldn't recommend using sealer, I would get it repaired properly.

Damn... this car has a shitty design man. Thanks for the thorough video man. I am but I’m not looking forward to doing all this either 😂 I got to do the damn valve cover gasket too. And the motor mounts. And the oil pump and sensor... and maybe the damn computer too.

Guys don't not reuse them hose clams and you don't need to replace hose maybe the top hose but not likey

The spring clamps I don't typically worry too much about. The worm clamps are a pain and I will only reuse them if they're in good shape.

Thanks for the video. Terrible design being the worst of Ford and Mazda . I presume that is more or lesst that it is the same procedure for the radiator replacement on cars with the 2.3 L 4 cyl engine.

Such a dumb design, so frustrating. I would venture to guess maybe on the 2.3 you could do it the traditional way as there may be more room?
