Mazda Bongo / Friendee / Ford Freda: I ran out of fuel!!!

Arrrgh, I had several jobs to do today but first was get some diesel, anyone that has a bongo knows that fuel gauge is more of an advisory lol.
I managed to get far enough from the house for it to be annoying!
Anyway, having gone for a gallon of diesel the bongo didn't want to start as I'd cranked the battery to near death! Had to get my old jump pack out!
