Own a 2019 BT-50 and it’s a great Ute, tows well, good power, and it’s comfortable. It’s a shame Mazda went and based their Ute on the D-Max, I think some refined tweaks with the Ranger underpinnings on this and it could of been awesome.

Agreed , strong performance all round with great reliability , owned one for 3 years with no complaints, and yes I would buy another one if the opportunity arises.

@@colinreid2346 Hi mate I had a 2007 3.0 turbo diesel which was great. No major problems other than bottom thermostat stuck once which blew the radiator. It had dome nearly 300thou klms when sold it. Traded it in on a new 2015 diesel and only ever problem was once driving in muddy water the 2wd to 4wd switch failed and was locked only in 2wd till it was repaired. It's now done 115thou klms and running strong. Cheers

Yep I do love my 50 she’s a great ute, tows my 2ton camper and family of 5 all over the place , good on fuel economy, outstanding at towing and you sure can load the old girl up , is reliable as the day is long ! It’s a Great vehicle and very under rated I would buy another one in a heartbeat if the opportunity ever arose.

Strange, you call it a sports-bar. In the U.S. we call that a Roll-bar, it keeps you and your cab from being crushed if it rolls over.

They're tacked on with a few bolts and are as structurally sound as wet cardboard in a rollover. We have rollbars if you get proper ones fitted to the chassis

After owning a BT50 in the past I now own a Ford Ranger BiTurbo and in my opinion it is miles ahead of the Mazda in terms of ride, handling and comfort and the new engine is so refined and quiet. The Ford feels more like an SUV than a Ute.
