Vikar, I'm a Mazda owner for 6 years now and you're right, Skyactiv fuel is not so fuel efficient, but if you drive calm and relax, like maintain a low rpm acceleration most of the time, you can get 14.3km/L on average and thats the best the engine can do. You can get more obviously if you do long drive on 90~110km/h (which is hovering on 2000~3000rpm all the time). But I tell you one thing - the Skyactiv engine is one great build. Mazda is one of the best engine maker in the world. CX-30 is CBU I guess so engine its very good but you do have to look on other minor stuff. Mazda is famous for side mirror folding problem & suspension bushing noise which I'm not sure if they've found the cure yet or not. But ask me, it is the most reliable car I ever had. 6 years and going super strong. Like they said - poor man's BMW. Oh yes, when you finish free service, use Redline 5W-30 or Shell Protect 0W-30 or Liqui Moly Molygen 5W-30. The engine goes really really good with these oils. Remember, what you have there is not some Honda 1.5 Turbo or Ativa 1.0 Turbo mid-tier engine, its a proper built 2000cc naturally aspirated upper-tier engine 😇

Yes agree with you on the suspension bushing noise especially after rain when you go over a bump you can hear that squeaking noise that till today Mazda cannot solve even with the Mazda 6 I have had till today since 2014. Overall it is still a good car.

God bless you bro for this review. This is the cx30 review I've been waiting for. Non of the other car reviewers won't cover this much little details in theirs in a very short video. But you summed it up so nicely. Thank you for making my choices about this. I have a crossover car think to upgrade to an SUV or a pickup truck.

I own 2024 CX30 2.0 e-SkyActive, manual gearbox and my current consumption is 7.2 l/100 km (40% driving in city, 60% between two cities). I'm quite satisfied with it.

Own this sexy machine for two months with 3.6k km mileage. Same spec & colour as yours. Agree with fuel consumption. I was hrv owner for 6 years before i bought this car. Honestly, still getting use to it with the acceleration and brakes. This car is driver centric i would say.

I'm a 2022 CX30 owner. I agree with you completely that it is one sexy looking piece of meat. I'm like you, i always look back whenever I'm walking away, EVEN after 2 years! To me, it is one of the best looking car in current market. Some people say the cladding too big but I like the contrast cause mine is white. And the interior is so simple and luxurious at the same time with red leather seats. Coming from a Honda City, fuel consumption is more but still bearable for me. Not sure about the brake pad you were talking about, mine is still okay. I love driving it long distance and especially driving through corners with it, 160kmph still so planted and confident. No regrets! 😊

Been driving same car for 3years was bujang when i bought the car and currently a bapak already. Tell u the rear seat is so cramp that i cant even recline the front seat once i installed baby seat. Brake screeching issue- had same issue when the odo was 40k. Checked at the SC and they told me the brakepad was fine. The sound went away few days later. Currently clocking 80k and just changed my brakepad. Soundproofing is kinda bad especially for the roof. Barely listen anything else when its raining heavily. Bootspace is small and barely fit for 3 medium size luggage. But i have zero regret buying this car. The design is just soo good and the driving dynamic is just as good as sedan. No problem to keep using it for another 3-4 years despite the space issue Btw, its such a shame that this car is not turbocharged. Mazda gearbox and handling is just so good but the engine is lack of punch

The brake pedal feel is designed that way, so that you get a more gradual braking feel instead of a more sudden braking which is how you get that unpleasant sudden stop / jerking / push feeling in other cars

Bro, the brake might be a quality issue, my wife has a Mazda 3 and it has same issue, in the end we complained to Bermaz and they replaced our rear brake pads and skimmed the rotors for free. Everything is much better after that.

Such a great review - thank you! I bought a 2024 CX-5 Preferred with 0% financing for 5 years and before that I had a Mazda3 hatchback for 10 years. I love/loved both cars but now I’m wondering if the CX-5 is a bit too big for me They’re running a great financing deal now on the 30 so thinking about going to the dealer and exploring the option of a trade. But only if I don’t lose money on the deal. This video was super helpful (and fun) so thanks again!

I have a 2023 CX30 since December - manual. The only thing to be aware of is the storage isn’t fantastic. The back seats are for for children but adults not so much and the rear cargo is tiny. My old Hyundai accent had more space somehow. But I always have the back seats down and with that it’s pretty big. Other than that no complaints. It is the best luxury car I’ve had even though I got the base model. Leather steering wheel - comfy. Great looking- I was shocked how good looking it is. I just dropped it off for its first free service and nothing was wrong with it. I’ve only had to tint the windows and added sheep skin covers. I love the reverse camera and blind spot monitoring. So space is the only thing I’d comment on comparing to cx5. I got the poly metal grey and it’s so beautiful. Photos on the web do not do it justice. I love Mazda. They are such beautiful cars. Why don’t you like the CX 5 is just too big?
@tanja04118 ай бұрын
Thanks so much; appreciate this! It’s funny because I think for both of us it’s only maybe a matter of size :) Everything you mentioned about the CX-30 is exactly what I love about the CX-5 😆 Honestly, I have mine in black and whenever I look at it, it makes me happy. Just so sleek and upscale looking and same with the interior as well. Actually, today I mistook a black Mercedes cross-over for my car; they looked almost identical so that was pretty cool! I don’t have kids and I don’t know how often people will ride in the back so just thought for my mostly city-driving a slightly smaller model could be nice. But then again, I do enjoy the bigger cargo space. I don’t really like the non-touch screen so much; I agree with the vlogger that controlling the infotainment center from the console area is a little awkward for me. My parents just bought the Honda CR-V and I’ll say their infotainment system and the console area seems more comfortable and intuitive than Mazda’s. But of course mine feels more luxurious and just as that kind of special “it” factor somehow. So I’m happy with my purchase. If I could design it perfectly, I’d have it be the size of the 30 with a bit more cargo space and a better infotainment system configuration. Ha. But that’s it. I’ll most likely stay with my CX-5 because I’m hoping to go more road trips and the extra room might come in handy. Thanks again for responding and have fun with your 30!

Bro your POV of the car is same as mine. Own the Mazda CX-30 for about 3 weeks now and car already clocked in 3,200km mileage. Previously own a Myvi icon and it was a huge upgrade for me in terms of everything that you mentioned in the video. However, the brake feels slightly sluggish but somehow, I think it is a good thing cause my mom won't complaint on sudden braking. Fuel consumption for me is quite okay la considering my Myvi previously can only go on about 350km-380km for a full tank on city driving mode. In the CX-30, I can go about 450km-480km for a full tank. But the long-distance highway drive weh I really liked it a lot. Full tank can easily go up to 730km. Please do another POV/review once your car reached one years old ya.

I think we are about the same on the ownership of Proton Iriz to Mazda CX30. I just bought mine a week and a half ago, unlike you, no regret to splash 10K extra on High+ P. I just love almost everything about the car, except the brake (which I believe most of us may take time to adjust). Owning this CX30 is about not to care the back seat passengers. The pilot seat is the most important!

I did consider the Mazda 3 as well. I decided to go with the cx30 instead cause the car is abit higher. I prefer SUVs compared to sedans or hatchbacks. I do think the Mazda 3 looks way sexier tho. In terms of color, I personally think the machine gray looks the best for the car. My second option would be the polymetal gray

Mazda pretty much easily wins every sector in which it competes in terms of design...exterior and interior. Just clean, sexy lines...simple, uncluttered...obviously based on European luxury cars. The others...Toyota, Honda...really don't have much of a clue. They look like they were designed by the office boy who has ADHD and is obsessed with Manga comics.
