@@aleksandarperac1801 kada kazete "za porodicu" molim, budite malo specificniji jer nisam siguran na sta tacno mislite. Ako mislite na dvoclanu porodicu, i vise je nego dovoljan za bilo sta. Ako je porodica viseclana, kolika su deca? Cak i za viseclanu porodicu je dovoljan za sve gradske i medjugradske izlete i takodje dalje. Ne bih rekao da je dovoljno veliki za odlazak na put u Grcku ili neku drugu destinacuju za odmor. U svakom slucaju, je absolutno dovoljan za svakodnevne potrebe. Evo, pre mesec dana sam u njega prevezao 65 inch televizor sve sa kutijom i 3 klime 12000 BTU u drugoj turi. Inace,imamo isti model i ovde u USA ali nema ni priblizne opcije kao u Evropi. Zaboravite na grejace u volanu ili sistem za prepoznavanje znakova. Ovde, u USA su mislili da ih zavitlavam. Transmisija je odlicna i nikakve zamerke nemam. Doduse, kupili smo ga novog ali i ovaj u USA vec ima 30 hiljada milja i sve mu super radi. Jedino problem koji sam do sad uocio je kad je kisno vreme, senzori za pririsak u gumama znaju da daju lazni signal u kabini ali to prodje i samo se resetuje kasnije. Nadam se da je moj odgovor dovoljno dobar. Pozdrav

Well done review from a great reviewer, bravo! Probably this is the sweet spot of the range of a well developed product. Simple is good, easily reliable and care on lightness and simple optimization do more than tech in this market position. The 2liter vs 1.2 is again a good remark, we need versatile car, reliable and stable in what they deliver on a broad use case.

I brought the skyactive X after watching your review on it and I absolutely love it, only complaint I have with it is the lack of power when it comes to hills. If it had a turbo it would definitely make it that bit more exciting

And the fuel consumption isn't as promised. To turn an engine that puts out 185hp into a slow piece of crap is something only Japanese car makers can do.

@@ardmrad9278 it has 8.3 secs 0-100 on the paper which is what 185hp sounds like. That is a bit faster than VW 1.5 turbo 150hp/250nm, at least on the paper.

Pajacowanie. Tymczasem pamiętam test mazdy 6, w którym mówił Pan jaki to tapczan się zrobił. Mówił też Pan, że auto straciło charakter w porównaniu z poprzednią "szóstką". Tymczasem ja przesiadłem się z poprzedniej 6 na najnowszą szóstkę. Auto na początku rzeczywiście trochę muliło, ale po dotarciu (przejechaniu ok 5kkm) auto jeździ świetnie. Dziwię się też wszystkim ekspertom, którzy dziwią się, że wolnossące mazdy trzeba redukować i kręcić. No nie jest to auto, którym się wyprzedza na szóstym biegu. Generalnie mazdy jeżdżą świetnie i obecnie oferują najlepszą relację ceny do jakości. VW nawet nie jest blisko. I mówię to ja, człowiek, który bardzo się zapierał by nie wymieniać mazdy na mazdę. Ale jakość robi robotę u producentów z Hiroshimy.

I've seen the translation, but it seems to be an idiom I do not understand. 7:30 is actually quite late by my standards, but this was recorded in early March, so the sunrise is late. I already reached my pain threshold, and get up at 4:00 AM to start filming around 5:15. This is the best combination of light vs. no people wandering about. I seriously considered being on set always at sunrise, but that would mean getting up around 3 AM for a month or so, and I could do it to my partner, who's also my cameraperson. I really appreciate that she gets up with me at 4 from mid April until late August :)

On the consumption still you need to work, as 6 liters way easy to achieve 😉. As for Kia/Citroen comparison, the french engine vibrates due to 3 cyl arrangement, I experimented on a rented car. Kia engine its OK, but those engines are equiped with dual mass flywheel, DPF, turbocharger, soo reliability is on the Mazda side.

I love that you remember that line. That being said, once I've seen the video demo I will say there's a method in this madness. Perhaps they should put a sticker in the boot or something. I'm just used to lifting the floor with one hand, and putting whatever I need under it with the other hand :)

I know it was a tongue-in-cheek comment but Is there any particular reason why you couldn't have just folded up the boot floor base, left it standing at one side, then put the parcel shelf in there? I tried it when I looked at the car in the showroom, having never seen one before, and I had no issues whatsoever, it was very easy and I thought it was a great system by Mazda - I thought it was better than the usual problem of a floor panel that only lifts up a little bit then you struggle to get anything under it. Having said that, I think the latest model has gone back to that type of floor panel so maybe I'm wrong but I thought it was a great idea.

@@RaduB. Keep in mind that that torque on the 122 is the same as the 150: 213 NM You are definitely going to feel that power, despite only having 13 more HP (depending on the comparative weight of the lancer) And yes, that piano black is anxiety inducing

Good, short review! Why do car makers hide USB connections? They are hard to reach and awkward to use. As for the rear cargo cover, it's better than leaving it in the driveway.

Indeed, feel free to get yourself a 1.2 PureTech and watch it self-destruct when its timing belt disintegrates in all that hot, coked-up engine oil. There's a reason why the Japanese still largely prefer nat-asp engines - and it's the same reason why our part of the world still largely prefers Japanese cars.

Some of the Japanese cars for the European market are made in Europe, like Toyota or Nissan. Toyota's diesel engines, and now hybrid drivetrains are made in Poland of all places. Nissan share tech with Renault, so the Micra has a 3-cylinder turbo engine. That makes them more affordable in the EU. Mazda is often suffers, because it is made in Japan, and therefore more expensive, and prone to currency exchange rate fluctuations. As far as PSA Puretech engine from those years you are absolutely right. They have cam belt issues. Apparently this has been resolved in newer cars.

@@MarekDrives Yeah... Meanwhile here, it's hybrids that fight with NA engines for a spot in the top-selling cars. Only one who's had any luck is Honda with the 1.5 VTEC Turbo in the Civic and CR-V. But the likes of Toyota/Daihatsu may be set to change this with their newly-launched Raize/Rocky compact SUV. This car features a 1.0 turbo triple from Toyota and is going to be sold throughout South-east Asia. If the response to Malaysia's own rebadged version by national automaker Perodua is anything to go by, it's set to be a smash hit.

You could have put the rev range and instant consumption figures when cruising at 90, 100, 130 and 150 km/h and the noise levels at these speeds. Also in what situations the G150 feels punchier then the G122.

@@vedranmatanic3653 I always find it fascinating how in certain parts of Europe (Poland included) there needs to be a speed limit tolerance over what is already the fastest legal speed limit in Europe. In the Netherlands I got 150 euro ticket for doing 55 in a 50 zone. In an EV. Since then I don't think about tolerance, just take my foot off the gas :)

Driver's car? I'd look at something like a Cupra Ateca or VW T-Roc R. Kamiq will be the most practical, Captur the best looking, CX-30 somewhere in between. All should last 5 years without any problems.

My stop start on my mazda kicks in minutes after starting from cold! Maybe my car is broken as you said it doesnt do it until warm!? My other half has a ford 1 litre turbo and her fuel economy is awful compared to my mazda. Maybe mazda knows what they are doing after all!

The 1.0 turbo engines are for very gentle city driving. If she's got a lead foot, it may affect the fuel economy.

Went to see it and I was shocked by the huge central console, between the driver and front passenger. It's so fat that driver has no legroom on the side, the leg is constantly in the contact with the plastic, which was a total turnoff for me. I wonder why Mazda did it like that, just wasting space and making driver's position very uncomfortable.

Bring back bigger 4 & 6 cylinder engines, and ditch turbos. All these so-called "efficiencies" have created poorly running cars which have limited refinement, and will not last the test of time. This is simply engineering to meet emission targets at the expense of driving pleasure and real performance is all situations. The engines available in Asia, USA and Canada are awesome compared to our feeble efforts.

interesting. I have the cx3 2018 and that 6 speed shifts very well. Never hunts for gears, always does everything perfectly. I test drove the cx30 and found the gear box working the same. But idk if they have changed anything

I don't know if/how you drive it outside the city. In city traffic it's just a matter of convenience. However if you like to drive a bit more enthusiastically, Mazda's auto just doesn't deliver. Or maybe it's the combination of Mazda's lackluster performance in general + the automatic gearbox. it is so easy to get used to those double clutch affairs.

Test drove the cx 30 skyactiv - g 150, with aut transm. a few days ago - and it is lame. Floor the gas pedal and the only Thing which happens is - noise. It certainly does not accelerate...

In Australia, Mazda is regarded by many as a more reliable brand than Audi. Certainly service and parts are far less expensive than Audi.

@@worrywart1311 In Australia maybe. But over here, mazda is made out of recycled material. Bodywork is paper thin. Torsion beam, underbody rusts within 3 years and fuel efficiency is nothing but a big lie, and spare parts are insanely expensive. On the other hand Audi is everything that Mazda isn't, better quality, more reliable, fuel efficient, spare parts are in abundance and reasonably cheap abd everyone can fix it. Audi A4 is a car that lasts forever. Currently I have one that is 19 year old with 320,000km on the clock 98% original parts.

I have owned several car brands but the only one that has never given me any trouble is Subaru, so I'm about to buy my fourth one in a row. (No rust in any of the three). If you keep a car for 19 years it is WAY out of date on safety systems and improvements.

@@worrywart1311 I don't know, maybe the cars they sell on the other side of the world are well made. But here is different story. To be honest, I've been trying to convince myself to buy a new car ( new audi/VW), but no matter how mamy time I test drive new cars I am convinced that my 19 year old car is better. I have an Audi A6 2004. It has ABS, traction control, cruise control, automatic air-conditioning and a body that is made like a tank. And most importantly, it is extremely comfortable and there's almost o wind noise in the cabin. The car is very simple and I can repair it myself. It handles great and perfect car for long distance driving. Most importantly, it does not burn more than 7.5l combined every 100km which is amazing compared to modern cars.

@@ardmrad9278 Yes I agree that is good fuel economy, especially these days. I don't service my own cars, so service costs and service attitude are important to me. In comparison with other Japanese or South Korean makes, Subaru is not cheap - but a lot less expensive here than most West European marques. However, their service and helpfulness is impeccable. In the rare event of a warranty issue they never quibble, unlike Mercedes and the like who prefer to fight tooth and nail to avoid accepting blame for anything.

Mazda only extracted 150 horsepower from a 2-litre petrol engine. That would be acceptable for a Diesel engine, but not for a petrol engine. Ford managed to extract 155 horsepower from a 1-litre engine. This is not good Mazda.
