It feels very premium, especially for the money. If I were in the market for a 2 row, this would be on my short list.

8:05 So when you were throwing the CX into the mountain curves, did you perceive any significant body roll? Does the Kinematic Posture Control really help? Thx!😊
@revmatchtv3 ай бұрын
Yes, there is some body roll. It's not trying to be a sports sedan, however it handles very well for an SUV and body motions are nicely controlled. The ride and handling are a highlight.

Hey Mazda…….How bout’ a beautiful “British Racing Green” to go with that Windsor Tan interior?

I did this very thing six days ago. 2023 Rhodium White CX-5 Signature for 2025 Rhodium White CX-70 Turbo S Premium. Lovin it 😁

My 2015 CX-5 has no trade-in value to speak of (198K+), so I’m keeping it as my backup car and adding a CX-70 Premium coming later this month. I, too, love Soul Red Crystal Metallic, but when I came in to order it (wanted the Greige interior, and all dealer-allocated vehicles for Colorado had black leather!), the new-for-2025 color called Melting Copper Metallic caught my eye, big-time! I’ll have the only copper/grey-beige CX-70 PHEV in Colo. I will, of course, report my findings/reactions….
@warrenbruhn58885 ай бұрын
Could use a light or dark 💚 green metallic color. I'm sure some people would like a bright blue.

Ty for this video! 👍 Love this red! Its like a candy apple color. I wish they wouldve offered a "true" hybrid vs. Plug in hybrid. They definitely need to update their infotainment system. Wish their motor didn't have to come out for timing chain and other things. Could be costly with that when repairs are needed
@revmatchtv7 ай бұрын
There are 2 variants of the 6. A Mild hybrid, 369hp, which is the red one I drove in the video, and a PHEV at 323hp.
@beccab25227 ай бұрын
Yes, correct. But it only kicks on from a complete stop and quickly shuts off. Wish it was a "true" non plug in hybrid. At least that's what I was told at the Mazda dealership on Monday.
@revmatchtv7 ай бұрын
@@beccab2522 It's got a pretty small 0.7kWh battery and a small electric motor in between the engine and transmission. It's main job is twofold: torque fill at low engine speeds, and a little bump in MPG. You're right in that it does not try to get the maximum possible fuel economy. It can actually run at any time, not just from launch. It's designed so that you don't notice its operation. If you're after fuel economy, the PHEV is more focused on that.

You should not compare the cx70 with a Rav4. Her competitor is grand highlander, palisade, telluride

You can remove that bin inside the cubby to have access to even more cubby storage..
@revmatchtv6 ай бұрын
In the center console? I don' think so. It's about 2" deep. In the back I showed the sub trunk area without the optional storage bin.
@fr3ddy14616 ай бұрын
Yea you can remove that top bin part. It looks like it’s just that deep, but if you remove it, it goes deeper (that’s what she said)

Would you not have the same space in the back of the CX 90 for your skis, mountain bikes, canoes, etc., by flipping the third row down? At least you have the option of a third row if you need it. It's perplexing why this version exists at all. It's odd to see the cup holders in the back where there are no seats.

May sound crazy but I have a 2017 Porsche Cayenne Turbo with 19k miles that I would trade tomorrow for the CX-70. I think the Crystal Soul Red is the nicest color in the entire industry. Mazda quality is superior to the other average Japanese brands, accept for Lexus of course but their price point for what you get is amazing.

Affordable in the luxury space. This isn't positioned against an entry level SUV. It's competing with BMW and the like.
