Can help you there. Same atmo engine as the SP25 and CX5 - 141kW and 252 Nm of torque. Uses a 6 speed auto - if my wife's Mazda3 is anything to go by, it will be ok, albeit a little heavier obviously. Reviews suggest NVH is very good, possibly better than the CX9 (which I have driven and it's a lovely drive, no real noise at all)

I simply don't get which customer group this CX-8 petrol is targeting which the CX-9 is not?
@petron19544 жыл бұрын
I agree. Has the length of the CX-9 and the width of the CX-5. Not really different at all. A bit like the size difference between the CX-3 and CX-30.

Peter Paynting The CX-30 is quite larger than the CX-3.
4 жыл бұрын
The CX-9 is quite larger, especially wider than the CX-8 which can be a problem in some areas, like tight parking lots. We wanted to upgrade from the CX-5 to the CX-9. But the CX-9 is not available in Thailand. I am very happy with the CX-8. It has a lot of space and is very comfortable. The CX-8 is more a raised waggon or estate than a SUV.

It’s for the money-pinching peeps who wants a 7 seater but doesn’t mind it being a 5+2, if the market has got CX9 available. For those that hasn’t got CX9, such as Japan, that’s the only 7-seater for them.

Hmmm..... I bought Mitsubishi Outlander in 2017, FWD 7 seater driveway price $28,600 including extra's like floor mats, window weather visors, premium neoprene seat covers and Outlander is more spacious in all three rows still bigger boot space also has more SUV body style so extra $12,000 seems to be not justify even though I like Mazda....

We bought a 2019 Ford Escape Ambiente with 150km on the clock for $23700 (ex dealer). We had a Mazda 2 and it was unreliable so I was very reluctant to buy another Mazda. I can't say that about the Mondeo we sold, that was solid.
@CumBrianFries4 жыл бұрын
Mazda makes some very good cars, however, I can see how their sales have been gradually going down each year. It's due to the idiots in charge at Mazda making bad business decisions, one after another. While they do make good cars they also tend to force their ways onto the consumers and never listen to their customers' inputs. For example, most folks wanted an infotainment touch screen but Mazda decided to go with a dial knob, citing less driving distraction (yeah right!). And most folks in North America would want a compact SUV roughly the size of the Mazda CX-4 but they decided not to import that model over. Instead, we get the horrendous looking CX-30 and the stunted CX-3! It doesn't matter how good your products are if you don't listen to the customers and adapt your company is going to die!

@@petron1954 I see you've commented in slot of these comments, the CX9 is alot bigger and has a much higher price range. This is perfect for the young family and people who don't want a massive car while saving probably the price of a modest family holiday.
