Had to stop auto refinishing in 2008 when recession hit us working for a company now as an industrial painter don't have to do fine finishes anymore but still do th occasional car to keep my hand in !! I know good work when I see it and yours is top notch keep the faith my man😆😆😆

mesmerising as usual... my lady said "to be clear, are you watching people spraying paint....?"... lol. love the details of what you use, procedures and the results. I find really helpful when you talk through things given that i'm a novice. Love the fact that you made the point of saying cleanliness if the spraying booth...I can upload the video of my spraying my alloys in my dining room! I love my wife... she suggested it!

I like your hint about running a strand of wire under the edge of the windscreen rubber... I'm considering respraying my o/h's MX5 Mk1 the paint is in very poor condition... the quotes I've had suggest that I'd be better off having a go myself.... have a compressor so simply need to purchase a half descent spraygun and the materials... have pretty well everything else I need in the way of tools etc.

Top video, I live it. My MX5 is under constraction, cut it out a lot of pices and removed a lot of rost. Left side I will make this week, than I remove the hole red color down to the blank metal, new filler and complet new paint. Hope trat he will be so nicht aß your car ❤

I'm guessing from what you said it seems you use water based paint... so...silly question if you thin it with water... do you use distilled or demineralised water???

I once had a guy bring in a mazda ×19 hed clipped it all down the side of a wall not too much damage but he wanted to drop it off on tue morning and pick it up wed night ha ha plus full respray ha ha have you ever had a custermer wanting the impossible I've had a few over time I used to walk away laffin ha ha

Hay brother good see ya pumpin out good work. It looks like a very thin what ratio is your DG. If i went three coats of the standox DG you'd definitely need a week for it to cure before buffing. 🤘

Thanks man how’s things over in oz dude ?, 2:1 with hardener then about 10% thinner this stuff is quite thin and crap for coverage too this colour but yeah I left it a good 4-5 days after bake to be safe before we polished it

You have to strip a lot of the car down as it’s bolted on behind where the roof fits on the interior

Anything from £2500 to £5000 I’d say in our shop depending on the work needed , the t5 we just did was around the £5k mark
