Thank you for this rare and earnest video. The MX-30 was never designed to be a Tesla clone……so that fact that it will travel smoothly at 148 kilometres per hour on an autobahn without flashing up all manner of warning signs from the drivetrain and dropping into limp mode is extremely commendable. Your video simply highlights and confirms the solid build of the vehicle and also the robust EV technology within. Nobody will be buying an MX-30 to go racing on a track or for pacing a Lamborghini Diablo. It’s primarily a city BEV with a robust and unique body shell, a truly premium and unpretentious interior, externally it doesn’t look as weird as a Prius (yes, I presently drive one of those) and it has been so well put together, you get the distinct impression it’s still going to be around running reliably long after other EVs in the same price range have morphed into expensive money pits. Thank you for this fascinating revelation.

One important note! The acceleration depends on the level of recuperation. You seem to be in normal mode. But if you turn it off completlty it should accelerate faster. At least that's what the manual claims

I sat in one in the dealership yesterday, it's a really nice car. If my daily routine in the future makes way for an electric car. Mazda is a really strong contender.

I agree, I was surprised how nice the interior is designed. I really enjoyed the mix of new/unusual materials they used. Sadly for me as well it doesn't fit my normal vehicle usage.

I already got mine. I love it. Power & range & size enough for me. I commute maximum 100km / day. But my average it 30km. Low weight & luxury cabin, perfect combination. I have 3 problems: a. from B pillar on ear level, there is a humming constant noise b. the back visibility sideways, because of the tiny rear door is limited, and a bit annoying in the city traffic c. the charging cables have no reservoir in the trunk under the floor mat Everything else is A+ for me

Great choice, I was very positively surprised and yes a fantastic interior. Windows in the back are very small indeed there is plenty of space to sit but the windows could be bigger. I don’t think many people daily commute more then the Mazda’s range, it’s more then enough if you have the opportunity to charge it at home

Nice and smooth and very quiet . I have to say when I first saw the MX30 I was disappointed. The more I see it the more I like it. The rotary range extender will be very interesting 👍

I’m quite positively surprised as well I liked it way more then I expected. The battery power easily covers daily commute if you have a place to charge your car and I think that’s the biggest problem but maybe with a range extender it would be a different story

More electric to come, I am a petrol head but I enjoyed the new experience of the Electric car. Those sports cars had now chance against the power and speed of the Mazda, they couldn’t keep up.

I agree with you I do like the sound and the instant acceleration is a great sensation. The sound is a combination of electric motor and fake sound from the speakers

I was averaging around 1km per 1% of battery but keep in mind i was driving faster then its legal in any country but Germany. More interesting is that the car had a average consumption of around 20kwh when i started my test drive and thats the average the people testing it before me got, that would translate to a total range of around 175 km. I see no problem of reaching 200km on a battery if you try.
