Mazda MX-30: How to Charge Your Vehicle and the Different Charger Options Available

Fascinating piece of technology. A Crossover SUV Coupe BEV with freestyle doors and a smaller City Centric Traction Battery. It charges at 6.6kW/h on a 7.2kW/h home charger and a maximum of 38.0kW/h on a Rapid Charger. Slowish, but I guess the idea is to give that traction battery a very long life. I see what Mazda’s doing there……and it suits my lifestyle perfectly.

Oh my! I always charge mine with a fast charger but only charge it max at 60% since my work is just 4kms away. With this info , I’ll be charging it using the type 1 charger which is the slowest - good for the battery.

Wish I knew fast chargers where bad for the battery before buying one, so no road trips since you’d have to fast charge a few times a day..
