Good job! An alternative to the primer and topcoat would have been several (3?) coats of hammerite. Would probably be more hard wearing and as you can't see this when it's re-assembled it may be a good option. I hammerited mine.

Hi. I've used Hammerite before and I'm not a big fan. But if it worked for you then great. Gavitex is made for underneath.

@@CompletelyDriven the hammerite was used where there is no risk of stones impacting, e.g. underneath the rear wheel arch liners and behind the bumper bar. You don't need gavitex there.
