Thanks, glad you enjoyed the old 99 GTP race it was a nice one to win. Should have the race winning RX7 on our channel soon.

Must say I was smiling throughout as Mark clearly likes it and Stu clearly doesn’t. Great footage of Australia through the window!

I wouldn't say I don't like it. It was a bucketload of fun. Reminded my of the sort of cars I grew up with. Rorty, a bit sketchy, missing a few creature comforts. (SG)

What a beauty. Here in the US we definitely look to Australia/NZ for the cutting edge in rotary culture and builds and you guys never disappoint! I currently have a '76 808 converted to RX3 spec (12A nose, etc.) with a turbo 13B and also have an RX3 wagon in the works, so I'm a bit biased.

Yes a really fun car to drive. You have some cool Mazda’s there, the RX3 wagon sounds awesome.

Hi Mark, this my first time to your channel. Thanks for honest and good review on the RX3, but I couldn’t handle that guy next to you..all he did was whine and not in a good supercharger/gimlet type of way. I’m not being rude, as I’m sure Stuarts a nice guy but I think Stuart would be greatly appreciated at the local Miniature Train meets or Indoor Bowls to name a few as his personality would fit right in. Keep up the good work. Cheers! Scott

Oh ouch. Just for the record, Stu is the guy who edits the videos, plays the opposing role when it's good cop bad cop time, and moderates the comments. So he's seriously pissed at the moment at the sugggestion that he's a whinger. He's definitely not an indoor bowls kinda guy. He represented his country as a marathon runner so he's more an outdoor kinda guy thanks sport. Why don't you watch the video of him navigating in the RX8 Turbo in Targa Tasmania, or one of other rallies. Or watch the IONIQ 5N review, or any other effing review for that matter. (By the way, it's Stu writing this, not Mark). So I say poo bum tit to your opinion Skotty. I'll still give your comment a like though as you're clearly a rotary tragic.

Correction: first there was the R100. Otherwise, a great video; nicely researched, narrated and filmed. I’ll be subscribing.
@GCL1102 жыл бұрын
Actually the Cosmo Sport was but yes the R100 was the first available locally. They also pictured an 808 coupe and called it a Capella lol

I could tell Stu really enjoyed the 1970's suspension. lol
@inCARnationAustralia2 жыл бұрын
It did make me laugh. Perhaps not as bad as it looked on video. But I can't imagine doing a rally stage like Oyster Cove in it the way it's set up. That'd be pretty sketchy.

Awesome car Peter, don’t listen to Stu! 😉
@angusseletto1511 Жыл бұрын
R100 was the first Rotary not Rx2,Possibly the rarer Cosmo even.R100 had 10a Rx2 had 12a twin dizzy and my 74 Rx2 Sedan had 12a single dizzy.

"You don't see many of these" haha no but the ones you do see all have the same oversized FR simmons.

IIRC the 787b won Le Mans because it was the most reliable car on the track that day. imaging that.

Pleased to say you can pay us directly! Please send us a pic of your car.

An original, stock Rx3 coupe sold at Lloyds auction for 136k a few months ago. Rx3 is more desirable to some and me than a GT3. The sound of the rotor is the music, what is this whining about that there is no entertainment music in this machine, I heard nothing but sweet rotor music throughout this video!!.
@markwilliamson86622 жыл бұрын
I agree, the engine sounded sweet

Fond rotary memories, but the steering and suspension were both terrible, if typical for 1970s Japanese cars. The Rx2 that I had needed a 65 litre fuel tank. The fuel consumption was massive for someone whose income consisted of mowing his grandmother's lawn.
@markwilliamson86622 жыл бұрын
Yes Ross I agree with your thoughts. This car has had a lot on money spent and has had a great restoration, so steering and suspension is pretty good, considering the design. I know petrol was cheap back then, but that’s still a lot of lawns to mow !
@goldenchild73602 жыл бұрын
I don't speak any Japanese, but the add did a far better job of selling the car than you did. Love it but this ones for the mantle piece.
@inCARnationAustralia2 жыл бұрын
Ha ha! The English subtitles kindly provided by my partner Helen (who is fluent in Japanese) is legitimate (except for the "whip it good" bit - sorry I couldn't resist). But don't watch the ad too many times - I can't get that "Savaaaanna" out of my head now. So Japanesy-cheesy.

Recon mark woul have driven 4 ever he just got fed up of stu s noise ya lucky he didn’t ditch ya stu 🤣🤣
Google Translation : Even in Japan, there are not many shops that can maintain and manage 10A engines, and there are not many users. The condition of the interview car is wonderful! In Japan, idiots who didn't understand the rarity of SAVANNA almost scrapped it. If it is valued overseas, I think that's fine.
