When Maze first started they were called Raw Soul and they were introduced to Marvin Gaye. Marvin was so taken by the group he suggested a name change. They stayed with him and he had them open for his tours. Marvin said he knew when he first heard them his soul was moved and that they were destined for greatness. Not a bad endorsement coming from one of the all time greatest musicians.

Tee, you will never get over it, but take as long as it takes to move past it. I lost my wife/High school sweetheart 12 years ago after 27 years of marriage. There is not day that goes by that I don't think about her. However, I have remarried and have two children with my new wife. Getting married again is something she made me promise to her, before she passed. My son and daughter are a bonus/blessing! She knew me better than I knew myself and that's because God spoke to me through her. God bless you brother!

This song is about love of self. Recognizing that love starts with you, in you and through you. Because you believe in above. A higher purpose that is love and part of you. About being grateful for that. So spread it all over the world. As Maya Angelou says: “love liberates”

I remember hearing this for the first time in December of 1991, it was an incredibly beautiful time in my life (one of my greatest experiences ever). Hearing this song takes me back to that exact period. I feel the same sense of euphoria now that I felt back then whenever I hear this song, it is nearly overwhelming. The song's title says it best, "Happy Feelins". 💓💙💜💛
