Yzerman has some tough decisions in the very near future. Mazur and kasper are pushing hard, i anticipate both starting the year in GR due to the numbers game, but they should both be up before too long. Hopefully Yzerman can make the necessary accommodations to make it happen.

the "top line" was totally dominated. high danger chances were 5-1 for Chicago against them. scoreboard was 2-0 Chicago against them. expected goals was .60 Chicago, ,27 them ; they gave up big chance after big chance. Lalonde even tried to skew their performance favorably by deployment as it went on, he would throw them out against tired opponents at the end of long shifts, throw them out w possession, give them o-zone starts, give it to them on the rush, etc. if the Kane version of that line had a game like that to start preseason they would be broken up immediately and not seen again for months, if ever.

@@phillip_fnp No, bc the 2nd line has JT Compher centering Kane, a combination that played together extensively last season w Cat as the other wing 90+% of the time, and couldn't score. There is a simple lineup solution that solves all ills. But it wouldn't favor Raymond, so it is avoided.
