Very helpful. It can be a daunting experience, but once you understand the procedure, it’s not so bad. I take lots of photos. I mark and label the screw holes and place the screws in the magnetic dish labeled with masking tape. A lot of patience is required, removing and replacing everything carefully, as to not to break anything. I love my 1998 R129 Sport Package. I probably paid more money for the maintenance and cosmetic replacements done by myself, than I did originally purchasing the car. I’m very pleased with it. The car drives and looks fantastic, and I will take it over any new car on the market today. God bless all R129 enthusiast.

Great to hear! For complex jobs, I use colored paint pens of the type available at hobby stores. I mark each fastener with a colored dot, and place a corresponding dot wherever it goes. Works very well.

@@benzgeek9091 that is great advice. I do the same on certain parts. If you ever remove the driveshaft or change your flex disk, MARK/PAINT the position of the bolts attaching to the differential and transmission. it really seems like it’s not necessary, but it is. I had to lift the car two more times after the change to reposition the driveshaft in the exact spot and everything worked fine. Please trust me on this . Take care, be well.

You are absolutely correct. People be warned, take this advice seriously. By the naked eye, it doesn’t seem like it’s really necessary to mark, but it is ! It’s a real pain just having to lift the car back up again to readjust the driveshaft. I replaced both flex disk and the center bearing with clamp. Took photos of the bolt positions. I also replaced the 14 mm bolt and upper and lower washers that connect to the differential, I was having some clearance issues. (After I replaced the differential bushings) . What an experience. Whew.😅 Thanks 🙏
