This is almost exactly the configuration I want to do my Vintage in. I’m planning on a Proffieboard and Neopixel variation, but everything else about this saber is straight up goals. Awesome work on the build!

What do you think a Obi ROTS hilt with this kind of build would cost? I'm thinking of buying a Roman Props inception elite hilt, and then paying a smith to install a prizm/tri-cree and have them get the chassis parts to do a full decorative chassis with an intricate crystal chamber like this one on the graflex. Just trying to get a general idea of cost. The only FX sabers I've purchased were complete. Vader's Vault, Saberforge, etc.
@EastCoastSabers6 жыл бұрын
I have no idea on what an install would cost without knowing what chamber you're having installed. The one installed in this saber will not fit anything but a Graflex.

How did you attach the side switch to the blade holder, it looks like you utilized the 2 tiny holes to connect it to the 2 other tiny holes in the blade holder?

You use a piece of brass rod cut to length. You may have to use a dab of glue to hold them in place.

Hello. Where did you aquire the copper/aluminum accent rods for the fins? Also, would like to know about the ones connecting to the crystal older.
@EastCoastSabers6 жыл бұрын
Edward Sferrazza All of the accent pieces were just stuff I found at hobby and RC stores. I have a lot of different sizes and I just fit together what looked good.

East Coast Sabers... One more question if you don't mind? These accent rods were taken off of an item in either one of those businesses?
@EastCoastSabers6 жыл бұрын
No, hobby shops usually sell an assortment of different size rods and tubes that you can choose from. This is the brand I look for, and most hobby shops will have a variety of sizes, materials and types. www.amazon.com/Metal-Round-Tube-Copper-Carded/dp/B00FZS21AE/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&qid=1527644475&sr=8-22&keywords=k%26s+brass+tube

Do you do commission work for installs or conversions?
@EastCoastSabers6 жыл бұрын
Not usually. My work schedule isn't the greatest for those wanting commissions as it takes me a long time to find the time to complete them. This is only a hobby after all.

Hi, I have a very serious inquiry. How much would it cost if I were to commission a build exactly like this one? Please let me know. Thank you!
@LagunaLeonhart6 жыл бұрын
It'd probably go to around $2000. You can get the price down by choosing a less complicated soundboard which removes some of the features like the pitch shift.

East Coast Sabers - Curious why your eBay auction ended without any bids. Did you end it early?

Someone entered an illegitimate bid. So I cancelled the auction and sold it privately.

OIC. Hope you got an excellent offer on it. It's a beautiful job. Curious what you used for the brass mesh. I noticed it doesn't seem to have any seem, so it's a single cylindrical piece? Awesome job!

You can purchase the parts and install one yourself or have a sabersmith build it for you. Unfortunately I am not currently accepting commissions on electronic installs.

the grips aren't quite accurate the tfa graflex needs to have the grips about a 1/8 of an inch away from the pommel

Thanks but ive looked it up hours ago. Decided ill just have mine made by a reputable smith using a Vintage Graflex im going to buy. I love the Graflex as much as any saber fan but I dont think Graflexes should be worth anything past $1500. Good luck with the auction.
@EastCoastSabers6 жыл бұрын
While I most certainly agree auction prices are insanely high, you will be hard pressed to complete this build for less than $1,500. Vintage Graflex flashes themselves are going for $600 - $900 alone and the printed parts from Shapeways were over $1,000 for this build. That doesn't include any of the other chamber parts, sound board etc. And then you will have to pay for the labor. I'm not trying to deter you, just informing you that no matter how you go about it, it won't be cheap.
@hokage64th6 жыл бұрын
Thing is, I have a Vintage Graflex already. Just looking for an installer. Installation with a GOTH Master Chassis, a CF9 (when its out) shouldnt cost over $600-$800 including parts and labor for the tech.

They removed the Ebay listing. The guy selling this is a crook, I asked about a commission of a graflex similar in spec like this and was quoted $6000! Martin Beyer charges less than that!
@DanielTesenair6 жыл бұрын
Aman Dhanoa Lmao that's a heavy accusation to throw around, especially when it's against one of the most respected members in the entire custom saber community. $6,000 was not too bad by the way. This sold for over $25,000.
