I have a doubt, corporations are listed on the stock having unlimited liability. And LLC having limited liability can't be listed on the stock. But what about public listed companies, they are also Limited liability companies but are public, listed on the stocks. So are public listed companies not the corporations? I thought corporations are classified as LLC and Unlimited liability companies. And LLC are classified as Pvt LTD and public LTD. Plz correct me wherever I m wrong.

Hi Nishi, apology for the delay in answering your question. 1. LLC cannot be traded as public stock. 2. In the US only the C corporation or S corporation can publicly trade stocks. 3. The main difference between LLC and Corp is that in LLC the company does not pay any income itself-the owners pay taxes on the income made where in Corp the shareholder have a a salary (most of the time) and the corp itself pays taxes as a business entity
