രണ്ടുലക്ഷമാണ് വാർഷിക ഫീസ്. പക്ഷെ മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ വാർഷിക വരുമാനം ഒരു ലക്ഷം വരെയാണെങ്കിൽ കാറ്റഗറി ഭേദമന്യേ ആർക്കും ഫീസില്ല. രണ്ടുലക്ഷത്തിൽ താഴെയാണ് വാർഷികവരുമാനമെങ്കിൽ കാറ്റഗറി ഭേദമന്യേ 25%, മൂന്ന് ലക്ഷത്തിൽ താഴെയാണെകിൽ കാറ്റഗറി ഭേദമന്യേ 50% നാലുലക്ഷത്തിൽ താഴെയാണെകിൽ കാറ്റഗറി ഭേദമന്യേ 75% . നാലുലക്ഷത്തിന് മുകളിൽ ഫുൾ ഫീസ് കൊടുക്കണം. SC/ST വിഭാഗത്തിൽ വരുമാനം എത്രയായാലാലും ഫീസില്ല.

Well… He is in his home… in his comfort zone, with his family, doing what he loves… conveying his knowledge to others. He comes at 8.30 and can go home at 4.30 which is only a dream for most techies. And trust me… he is earning way more than u think😄

Student X is a maths wizard but very poor in chemistry. He got 1000+ AIR in JEE Advanced with a score 100+/120 in maths and physics but just scored a cut off 20 in chemistry. He has 95% in CBSE class 12 (he chose PCMB and not PCMCs). His subjects of interests were Math, Phy, Bio, English, and Che in that order. He also got selected for CMI, ISI, IIM Indore MBA (5 year), NEET (AIR 1000+), NISER (air 50+), IISER (AIR 50+), and IIST - All in the first attempt. The moment he started Class XII, he set his preference as follows: 1) CS in 6 old IITs 2) CMI 3) ISI 4) MBA at IIM Indore 6) CS in other IITs, 7) CS at his home state NIT 8) MBBS. Though his math and phy score in JEE Advanced were good enough to fetch him CS in old 5 IITs, his just 20 in chemistry denied him CS in 6 old IITs. So he went for his choice #2 - CMI. The funny thing is that after his CMI, he got admission for PhD (CS) in a top university in the USA. The three other people who also got admission for PhD (CS) in that university were CS topper from IITB, CS topper from IITD, and CS topper from Oxford university. Student X is from Kerala. He was a day scholar through out his schooling.

I have a honest doubt , why all IIT ians are opting into teaching profession or IAS even after they think that it is so much better than medicine ? Don't they feel like they want to apply what they have learnt?

Interesting question. Few reasons as per my understanding. 1) IAS is easy. IIT jobs only pay you, you don't have any power, zero recognition. IAS is glamourous from outside, you will get respect and power. That appeals to a lot of people, it's human nature. 2) Teaching is more difficult to answer. One reason, institutes pay big salary, in multiple laks per month, for IIT tag. They may have very few star IITian teachers, to show off. Works well for both parties. Also as mentioned here, there is a dark side to Engineering jobs. There is zero job security, you can be fired any moment. A lot of IITians also fail to find a job that matches their expectations. IIT tags helps initially but then everyone is same and if you are not good at your job, you won't survive. You should also note that a very small number of IITians end up in coaching Industry but we see them a lot more than those working in Industry.

From 2022 things changed alot biology is no more a cakewalk now u will hardly get a 80 marks out of 360 with 2 weeks of reading. Scoring above 250 requires twice the amount of hardwork u put in chemistry or physics. Biology is what makes neet harder if it wasn't there phy and chem would have been a lot more easier 😂
