Those of you folks wanna hear the 'original' Chekele, this was filmed sometime in '97. The Original band was called 'Jigsaw Puzzle' - Anand Raj & John P Varkey was the mastermind behind all this. Search for 'Theekkanal - Jigsaw Puzzle (Avial)' Granted, it doesn't sound great, but Malayalam rock had to start from somewhere!

Yeah it was jig saw pussle lead by extraordinary artist John P Varkey paved the way for nurture band cultures but there were others too in those times .In an interview John said that Rex has given an different dimensions to those songs and even too for nada nada , and even he was just came out from Motherjane too. Actually nada nada song has made from the Farmer song of band Jig saw pussle. But those people got split up and now Avial has consists of Tony John,Rex Vijayan,Binny Issac and Mithun.

All those who are comparing this with the one by Avial what do you expect TKB to ape the same as performed by Avial. There aint anything bad about this performance they have been doing so good with this song in there live performances.Stop comparing one thing with other.Both are different band and play the song in different variations but in an awesome way. Kudos to TKB and Avial for sticking to the song of the land as you rarely see these kind of songs being performed by bands.

Its one of the electrifying performance by a band from Kerala in Kerala. When i heard this song for the first time, i was shocked as well as amazed by the energy of the performance. But then i read the comments by other viewers about that the performance was pre-recorded. I think that the vocals was pre-recorded and have the same doubt for the lead guitar solo as well. But still that won't affect their creativity. Hats-off to you guys for this awesome performance. Proud to be a Keralian.......
