I like the green micarta, but I’m not a big fan of the Timascus clip. Looks great to me, but a lot of money for something so simple. Reminds us of what great value the Hoo V1 really is. I suppose that Ray Laconico label comes at a price!

True, Timascus is always hideously expensive though, I wouldn't have got it were it me buying from the USA but as I got it second hand, why not? The Hoo is certainly better value it seems!

I got them from Amazon, www.amazon.co.uk/Wera-Screwdriver-electronic-applications-05118154001/dp/B0001P18PU/ref=sr_1_1?crid=22W9JUDBDPGAR&keywords=wera+micro+torx&qid=1641761718&sprefix=wera+micro+torx%2Caps%2C63&sr=8-1 & www.amazon.co.uk/Wera-05118182001-Holding-Function-TX6x40mm/dp/B000XIUET6/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1HFRSKMVNE556&keywords=wera%2Bmicro%2Btorx%2Bt6&qid=1641761747&sprefix=wera%2Bmicro%2Btorx%2Bt6%2Caps%2C62&sr=8-6&th=1 Excellent little set!

I meant to say this in your last videos comments. I was wondering if you were going to get that Boker knife advent calendar. It was about £100 on Heinnie. But pretty unique. Thought you could do a video series of opening one every day, would have been pretty cool. And what do you think of the Hoo? I want to get one but can’t find them for sale, were they only available through forums or something?
@UKLegalCarryKnives3 жыл бұрын
That would have actually been a great idea, a little late now of course, I'll have to look out for it next year. as for the Hoo V1 it is completely sold out unfortunately, his website is the place to buy one but he's not sure when another batch will be coming, keep an eye on his instagram for news.

I like the looks of the knife, but I would pass on that clip. Just seems like it belongs on a different knife. Merry Christmas to you and your family, my friend!

Is this a legal carry ?I thought the flipper bit made it illegal? 👍
@UKLegalCarryKnives3 жыл бұрын
Note, I'm just a youtuber, not a legal authority, please understand this is just my opinion. I used to as well but I have been corrected by many, I missed the very initial part of the definition of 'flick knife' in the legislation, the qualifier is as follows: "(a)any knife which has a blade which opens automatically-" Automatically being the keyword here, if it doesn't open by itself it isn't automatic and this clearly isn't, it does open from the closed position to the fully open position by manual pressure applied to the back of the blade but, it does not do so automatically and this is why I was confused, I am happy to carry them now though. Looked at getting one of these but cost was a bit steep with shipping and additional fees as you said, instead have pre-ordered the Hoo V1 Blackout. Would you consider doing a round up of UK legal flipper style/ fidget knives like this, the Hoo V1, CRKT Symmetry, Boker plus wasabi...? I think they're a great option for EDC and just fun to carry and use.

I bet it is the same Chinese contract manufacturer that makes the Hoo.

Isn’t the Hoo made in the U.K.? And where can you even buy the Hoos?

I wonder?
@UKLegalCarryKnives3 жыл бұрын
It is designed by a British gent, but manufactured entirely in China, the price for UK manufacture was around 5x the cost of the Chinese made one I'm told.
