This is one of THE BEST six-minute pitching demos on the web. Too many instructors go on for 8-9-10 minutes and more and say much less than this Pat Ahearne guy. Sorry if I spelled his last name incorrectly

Just watched this with my 9 yo pitcher. The car & luggage analogy really struck a chord with him.

Great video Pat, thank-you! For a young player how important is the height and angle of a practice pitchers mound? (at home practice) THanks TF

i completely agree with you about pitchers being too upright. think about aroldis chapman, he is super low when he pitches in the stretch.

If you supinate the wrist before you punch you will have a more powerful punch: 6:07 New research that I'm doing with the physics of throwing. I call it Power-Pronation.

Head movement absolutely NOT critical during the stretch. 🙄 As long as when landing and rotation begins the head and eyes are on target before firing is good. Our brains are dynamic. You coaches are adding far too much in-betweens in a fairly simple motion. In little league bad coaches although well intended is the problem.
