Buy an additional copy of the same puzzle. Remove the same piece from both. Mix the remaining pieces together. Hide the two missing pieces somewhere nobody will ever find them. Try to get somebody else to buy another copy of that puzzle for the missing piece. Locate that piece before they can and hide it with the others. Let the tension boil as much as you can, try to get people legitimately tilted about the puzzle. Then take your hidden pieces and plant them at a coworker's workstation when they're not there, making sure that somebody other than them finds them. Bonus points if it's the boss' workstation. Sit back and watch the fireworks.
