Another Live HALFIM - wonderful performance indeed, but imagine what would happen if he skipped this one - just once - and did eg. "Love Like Blood" instead - would walls come down ? Would the earth stop rotating ?

I have loved this song for many years now. My husband and I both loved John Hiatt. My husband passed away almost three years ago. I recently moved to be closer to my children and as I was cleaning out my storage unit, preparing to move, this song came on the radio. I just sat down on a box and cried. I also said thank you to John Hiatt and thank you to my husband. I have no doubt he was there in spirit as I began this last transition. This song got the two of us through some good and some bad times...and I think I was being told it will be okay.

Hello Teresa, I'm so sorry that you lost your husband. You can be sure, he is now safe in God's memory. Do you know God promises a time, when you will be able to see him again here on earth. Revelations 21:3-5 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Jesus the Son of God put it this way:.."John 5:28 ...you shouldn't be surprised, because the time will come when all, who are in the graves will hear Gods voice and will come out. He means that there will be a time on earth when everyone who has lost someone, will be able to hold them in the arms again and welcome them to the new world, a life on earth in peace without sicknesses, disease and misfortune! Teresa the future look's much better than most of the people expect, because God loves us and what he promises will not fail, actually god is telling us... I'll make everything up to you, trust me, just have a little faith in me :) If you are interested I send you an very interesting interactive textbook with the theme: Enjoy Life forever/Your loved ones can live again" www.jw.org/en/library/books/enjoy-life-forever/section-2/lesson-30/ This book is based on the bible and is about what God will do in the very near future, and how it can give you hope for the future. I wish you all the best for your future and send you my best greetings Michel

Ain't that the truth. And, while I might inwardly scoff at, and dismiss the average American for getting all their exposure to any culture (besides top 40 trash) from movies and TV, the better side of me has enough sense to appreciate those movies and TV shows for exposing more people to a great artist like John Hiatt, whose great songs mostly just don't meet the criteria for radio stations to air. Some of the finest artists around go through their careers in relative obscurity because they don't get enough exposure to the public, due to a lack of air play. It's up to the fans to try and get it out there these days!

Another relatively obscure artist is the Bronx child prodigy and genius Laura Nyro. Her revolutionary 1968 LP 'Eli and the Thirteenth Confession' is widely considered the most influential songwriting LP in contemporary music (see youtubes of Nyro raves by Elton John, Todd Rundgren, Alice Cooper, discussing this LP). Nyro was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame in 2012. The Guardian featured an article about her in April 2017. Listen to her impossibly beautiful 'Crazy Love' (1978) and weep (not the Van Morrison song of the same title).

Imagine my surprise when my co-worker came in one day and told me he had a great time with his family the night before in Broadripple watching from the front row his uncle performing and then hanging with him afterwards backstage. I said, who's your uncle and he said, John Hiatt. I absolutely freaked out because I'd been a fan of his since the seventies, and I had no idea I had been working with his nephew for two years. This was right around the time he had released his celebrated album Bring The Family so this was very serendipitous for me. John Hiatt, if you read this tell Mike I said hello.

Awesome song!!! I think this song is God’’s song to each and every one of us. It’s a hard thing to do giving all your trust and faith but the rewards you get in return are priceless and never ending. Cant’t say anything or anyone will bring your life all He does. Good investment of yourself with returns never ending for eternity!. Thank you for writing this song that has comforted me and even me so much hope and strength and brought me closer to God. God thank your for this message from you! I do love you God so very much. Thank you for being patient with me when I draw away in fear and pain.

"Have A Little Faith In Me" When the road gets dark And you can no longer see Just let my love throw a spark And have a little faith in me And when the tears you cry Are all you can believe Just give these loving arms a try And have a little faith in me And [Chorus:] Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me When your secret heart Cannot speak so easily Come here darlin' From a whisper start To have a little faith in me And when your back's against the wall Just turn around and you will see I will catch, i will catch your fall baby Just have a little faith in me [Chorus] [Sung Over Fade:] Well, I've been loving you for such a long time girl Expecting nothing in return Just for you to have a little faith in me You see time, time is our friend 'Cause for us there is no end And all you gotta do is have a little faith in me I said I will hold you up, i will hold you up Your love gives me strength enough So have a little faith in me

No, it's not. About 50 percent of people get chills when listening to music. Research shows that's because music stimulates an ancient reward pathway in the brain, encouraging dopamine to flood the striatum-a part of the forebrain activated by addiction, reward, and motivation.

When the road gets dark And you can no longer see Just let my love throw a spark And have a little faith in me And when the tears you cry Are all you can believe Just give these loving arms a try And have a little faith in me And [Chorus:] Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me When your secret heart Cannot speak so easily Come here darlin' From a whisper start To have a little faith in me And when your back's against the wall Just turn around and you will see I will catch, i will catch your fall baby Just have a little faith in me [Chorus] [Sung Over Fade:] Well, I've been loving you for such a long time girl Expecting nothing in return Just for you to have a little faith in me You see time, time is our friend 'Cause for us there is no end And all you gotta do is have a little faith in me I said I will hold you up, i will hold you up Your love gives me strength enough So have a little faith in me

Thank you for posting this. John Hiatt wrote this song, he plays the piano in a very special way. His vocal performance in this live- recording is outstanding , is world - class. One one of the best songs in the world I know.

John stands as one of the best songwriters. This was probably his pinnacle, and he should be congratulated into eternity.

Love this song , and my son knows it. One year for Christmas him and my sister in law searched and got me this C. D. I will always appreciate this song , but the fact that my son appreciated me enough to search for a gift that made me happy was the best❤️🥰
