Gage stopping Wave Motion with Macro was one of the galaxiest brain plays I've ever seen. Just shows you how much brain mass Gage has acquired ever since he stopped playing chaos. Now Gage's brain is just as big as Sheen's brain from that Jimmy Neutron episode where one of Jimmy's experiments made Sheen a genius.

Ngl, Cimo's deck countered Gage's hard and Gage's near-zero backrow removal is itself also the problem. But holy shit Cimo's draws are unquestionably insane themselves. Phoenix draw giving him Messenger after Gage finally have a monster was especially vile, not to mention the Breaker off of Morphing. Gage was playing extremely well too but, yeah, unfortunate.

I don't think it's part of Starlight but maybe Promo. With the way SDs tend to work, few playable at one copy, not an unjustifiable wheel addition. At this point it's an odd exclusion, but it'll be tough to build around them if grabbing one card at a time. Wild Card Structure could be about a structure exclusive for example.

I feel like cimo could possibly play a magical scientist ftk. It'd be a janky nasty looking deck list. The win con is getting 3 cards in hand, magical scientist, catapult turtle, and a card i know he as at least one of Ancient Rules. No need for last will or anything like that. Just play a way to draw as many cards you can until you get magical scientist, catapult turtle, and ancient rules in hand. Drop scientist, play ancient rules to special summon a level 5 or higher from your hand so you can special summon Catapult turtle with no tribute and just pop off from there. Would just depend on his heart of the cards and how much sheet draw power he has. Pot of greed obviously helps, d draw and fodder for that, if he has book of Taiyou, that and morphing jar would help, if he has it reload, card destruction and hand destruction. It could look like an empty jar or exodia ftk deck.

Looking at Gage’s list he maybe could’ve played a couple of Avian’s, Burstinatrix’s or Claymans in the side deck in case Cimo went floodgate heavy because they all play under Messenger and L-Lab. Not to mention Clayman is a 2K defender and could’ve allowed Gage to stall until he could’ve found an out.
