It's funny cause Gage can ban Shaddoll fusion and make Shaddolls neigh unplayable HOWEVER if Alex bans King of the Skull Servants Gage can not play Skull Servants unless Gage gets an unban ticket. Meaning Alex will just run back Black wings and sweep Gage for several episodes. *Slap hands together* easy GG's for awhile. Not to mention el Shaddoll Fusion is in the next set with other Fusions for Cimo to play with. Ik you have high hopes for Gage and game 2 was a flex for the series but if Alex bans King what will Gage play? Glads? Gadgets? Burn? It's over for awhile.

I’ve been thinking about it since watching the episode earlier, and I don’t think Gage will ban anything from Cimo’s Shaddoll package. I think he’s going to want to keep that live because he pulled a Shaddoll Fusion of his own and in case he spins a good wedge on the wheel that lets him get a Shaddoll Fusion Monster of his own. Another reason is he pulled a natural out to Construct in Castel. I think what Gage bans is Charge of the Light Brigade. Even though it’s a bit past its prime, Charge makes Lightsworn infinitely more playable and allows potential graveyard setup for the Shaddoll monsters. As for what Cimo bans, this is a bit of a trickier decision. He could spite ban King of the Skull Servants after today’s match. Castel is another potential ban target. He may also just decide to drop the ban hammer on Soul Charge, since Gage has three and he only has one. Ether way, next week’s episode is going to be an interesting one with a double banning on the menu.

That's flashy and works too I guess, but loses to milling a dark off Bulb and to Veiler (on Math) or DD Crow (on Bulb) being Gage's card in hand. (And likely many other cards) The only way the Beast line doesn't win that turn is if the card is _exactly_ Battlefader/Scarecrow, which is very unlikely, and even then Gage has no line to victory from there.

It's crazy that Cimo had the win game three by just summoning Armageddon Knight send Squamata, squat send shaddoll core, core add shaddoll fusion. Then fusion using from deck making construct draw with beast and then have light in grave for chaos sorc. banish king with sorc and atk with construct then top deck king wouldnt have won anyway.

That's how it works in the time period they're playing but it's not how it works now if that's what you're implying. In the modern game Veiler has an errata which stops it from working like that. Veiler originally negated effects until the end phase meaning effects in the end phase (such a Kuribandit's) were fine to activate and resolve. But now it negates effects until the end of the turn and unlike something like Skill Drain does not denote a place meaning it negates regardless of the monster not being on the field anymore. It negates the target monster effect(s) until the end of the turn no matter where the specific card actually is on resolution. Effects activating in the graveyard will still work so using Veiler on a Sangan wouldn't matter but since Kuribandit is activating while face up on the field, it can be used and the effect will not resolve thanks to Veiler. Seems maybe they were unaware of the errata which made it work the way they used it in the modern game. Which was coincidentally funny considering they're so close to it's release. Effect Veiler with the errata released in LCD5 and only MP14 stands between DUEA and LCD5.

Hot take, duea sucks for sealed. There's a lot of good cards in this set but for the most part they're all rare, which means you're likely to only get 1 of any good rare. Shaddoll, which is likely the best deck out of the pack requires both a super and 1 of 2 ultras to play. Ba loop of cir and dante requires a rare and a secret. In a format like this the easiest deck to pull is likely tellars with since you only need unuklahai at common, 1 altair at rare and call of the haunteds which at this point had been reprinted to death. Otherwise stormforth is great.

UA are pretty good, fairly low rarity. Castle is a rare that works in any rank 4 toolbox. Melodious are good in sealed. Battery Man 9 Volt and Resonance Insect are great.

DUEA marks the point in prog where I'd say there's an argument to open 48 packs of each main set from there on out. Archetypes become so streamlined that one box isn't enough to reasonably make anything remotely playable of a new archetype, and it's likely that any holo that isn't generic is just useless.

@@PNL1992 Melodious are ok, but suffer from being worse than a lot of the other general piles in their pool. Castel is good but is still a super which means its by no means guaranteed. Slugger and perfect ace are ok, but you have to tribute set perfect ace unless you have both slugger and ace, or one of those two +field spell, but for this wave thats a really tall ask. Batterymen are good, but require a sizable critical mass in order to make the deck good. Resonance insect is good but not yet.

NECH will likely change that though since Fluffals happen. It's also why Gage would be stupid to ban Shaddoll Fusion since he has one and NECH has a bunch of stuff that make losing it not that relevant for Cimo. If he's going to ban a Shaddoll, it should be Construct since he has very little chance to get one of his own for quite some time.

He also has it though. It makes no sense to ban it when NECH is the next main set which provides other Shaddoll options (including ESF) as well as generic Polymerization support in Fluffals. Construct is the correct hit because it allows him to still possibly use his Shaddoll Fusion and he's unlikely to get his own Construct for the next like 10 sets and maybe more like 40.
