On the topic of Redoer Tickets, people like to joke that Alex is saving his for season three, but I think he's not actually saving them for... anything. I think Alex is intensely risk averse. We saw it here, he kept this mediocre box not because he thought it was good, but because he was scared of getting something even worse. In this case it was a terrible idea, because either Battlin' Boxers get powercrept fairly quickly, or Gage bans Leadyoke and kills the entire deck, leaving Alex with nothing but Tidal. It doesn't matter to Alex how unlikely it was for him to pull worse than this; all that mattered was that he COULD get worse pulls, and that's enough to make him keep it. Because of this, I think the Redoer Ticket system needs to be changed, not because it's inherently flawed, but because with Alex's mentality he's just never going to use them outside of very low risk sets like Duelist Pack Kaiba.

It really is crazy that even with a Lead Yoke Cimoooo only won the first game because of unfathomably good draws. Literal perfect counters to multiple game enders from Gage. Like any other card but Dark Hole ends the game. The veiler to stop the single activation which would have ended the game. A settable searcher into Last Warrior. And then games 2 and 3 its just an unwatchable beat down from a fucking "hydrogen bomb" as MBT put it. And it will take SO MANY BANS to ban out Gage's rulers, while even a single ban ticket ruins the Boxers.

As someone who played BB during this time, 2 Counter Punch 1 Rib Gardna saves games. If your opponent goes for Blaster to pop a 38 Lead, chain Gardna to Banish temp, I mean you lose the atk no matter what, and the extra 1000 works wonders for a slippery attack sequence. Tbh the Photon Thrashers need to be removed just because Yes they are extenders, but if you have an established board they literally do nothing

Dragon Rulers: monster that could fit into a multitude of decks from now until the end. Probably are not the best options for bans. Battlin Boxers: unplayable if gage either goes on a 3 loss streak or roles a ban ticket.

Cimo not having anything but Tidal makes the others prime ban material because it doesn't affect him, and it's very likely he gets back into the banning soon. Where Gage has to roll one or wait 3 weeks minimum, it literally only takes two losses for Cimo after this to put them on even ground and considering the power of rulers and Cimo's constant playing of Chaos, that is not unlikely. It looks a little worse prior to him seeing Gage's pulls than it does after. Almost looks like a scripted attempt to ban the rulers after the fact.

@@RunicSigils by the time cimoo has lost enough/won and rolled enough ban tickets to ban all 3 of gage's rulers, multiple sets will have come out, which is enough to give gage pivot potential, especially since he'll most likely be winning for awhile since cimo has nothing on the power level of gage's deck, and if gage ever rolls a ban ticket then lead yoke is the easiest ban ever and even if he doesn't, he already has plenty of outs that cimo literally needs perfect play and draws to counter like in the first game, overall not rerolling was the wrong decision and honestly if he had just cheated and taken the not count reroll I wouldn't have even been mad

One thing I don’t understand is the order of what Cimo detaches for his xyz. Because for his lead yoke he likes to detach the glass jaw when there’s nothing in grave when the loop is he is suppose to detach switch hitter (or whatever the grave reborn is) and then glass jaw to get back the switch hitter so he can immediately make another lead yoke when it dies.

Since currently cardshops are struggling with selling products RN, it would be perfect time to push rotation as a viable casual format. You can make a video, where you start by explaining how set rotation became nessesary in MTG, and then explaining benefits for YGO community and Konami. And now I will explain, how my ideal set rotation would work. Names for products and formats are first drafts, and probably will be changed down the line. First we need to separate products in 3 categories 1)Core sets (every set with 9 cards per pack) 2)Side sets (sets where packs are smaller than core set packs) 3)Premium sets (sets where packs are bigger than core set packs). As for why I call them "premium" - they contain most powerful reprints. Now for the formats 1) Core standard - Last 8 core sets are legal. 2) Side standard - Sets that were released during Core standard are legal. 3) Full standard - Core standard and Side standard sets are legal. 4) Premium standard - Full standard and Premium sets that were released during Core standard are legal. What it does, it allows for players to choose their comfortable power level and speed. Also it creates a path for new players - they will start with Side standard, where games are more casual, when they feel ready, they can buy Core sets, to test their abilities to comprehend stronger cards. Then they can combine their Core standard and Side standard for more powerful deck, and switch to Full standard, and final step is to either switch to Advanced or Premium standard. Obviously in it's current state, we will need a banlist, to keep some archetypes in line with others.

So? Just because Cimo's Dragon Ruler deck would be worse than Gage's Dragon Ruler deck doesn't mean he should give up on it. Dragon Rulers are still the best cards in the set and make any deck better by their inclusion. Even if you don't have any rank 7s, getting to summon a big asshole for free every turn is still really good and is way better than a rogue-tier deck that will inevitably become unplayable as soon as Gage rolls a ban ticket.

WHY DIDNT HE REDO?????? no lead yoke on the second one kinda blows since getting a Blaster would be his goal for a Battlinboxer deck. Idk it’s kinda worth in hindsight but kinda not. If Alex bans Blaster or Ember..?(forgot the baby’s name) Maybe im dumb but I feel it Alex gets a ban, the deck kinda falls apart on Gage’s side bc targeting fire dragons would screw him over. Loses potential destruction, a really strong addition to Fire Fist and Gage strikes me as a person who wouldn’t play the rulers as the core of a deck anymore if Blaster got banned Either way, whatever gets banned we go in two directions. Alex falls back into his habits of playing decks and cards that were good 7 years earlier or Gage struggles to come up with something original and relies on IWIWD to make a good deck

Memory is wrong they were extremely dominant and just barely didn't hit tier 0 based on technicality of not crossing the threshold of representation. They were only kept at bay because Spellbooks had a card from 2023 in terms of power and a way to jowgen. Evilswarm is a meme that just kinda did okay once in a while. Dragon ruler was like over half the decks played in tournaments at this time, it was VERY dominant.
