I loved playing Plunder in this event. It's surprisingly easy to play once you get the basics out of the way. Can't imagine how people felt opening anything besides goldenhair before blackeyes was a thing. Plunder Patroll Almiraj is such a great card

Definitely the best event so far alright. Been having a blast with my Starry Knight deck. Like, I literally have multiple win streaks, with the highest being 15. I guess my record of achieving diamond twice in rankings with a Starry Knight deck have basically taught me how to use the deck to the absolute limit it can achieve.

Wow, does your ladder version of the deck mix anything meta in it or is it basically pure? The deck always seemed kind of eh to me so diamond with it is impressive.

@@tommysuter4053 you can check it yourself, but suffice to say, besides handtraps, there's nothing really meta about it. This is not like those "weak archetypes that managed to get to diamond with only 10 cards in total belonging to the weak archetypes" kind of deal. Here's some replays to show you on most of the plays it can do: Theme Event (newest deck version)- kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4GXmGp3qq2mbMU Rankings (older deck version)- kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoTWmZWfadeimbM There's not really a difference for the event, just need to change like 2 cards. Btw, the link for the latest iteration of the deck is under description on the theme video. Also, don't be fooled by the cards in the extra deck. I only ever use them 1 in 10 duels, and those usually being Dugares and Asophiel. The rest are just for pot fodder, "good to have" cards and for luck (ex: Mikailis). And yeah, it's a (barely) rogue deck, so it can't really "woah" you nor carry you. In fact, if anything, the player using it gonna have to carry the deck with their game knowledge on other decks. Just make sure to always go first for the best possible chances and sail on from there.

The only games I haven't enjoyed in this event were specifically against Weather and Crusadia, all the other ones were genuinely fun and interesting. If they had kept the roach out of this event I would've liked it a bit more, but still a relatively fun one compared to the anti-spell shitter

Because it's basically the top echelon of a fun rogue deck. It has an interesting mechanic, works well with adventure (basically the only deck that plays well adventure nowadays) and it's still competent in what it wants to do and how to do it.

@@lynaperez8022 in the meta? No, not even close. It just doesn't do enough to really compete. Most it can end on is usually two monster negates (adventure gryphon rider + dark ship). If you play lower power level decks with your friends for shits and giggles then it's a great choice. But in serious competitive play, where the bottom of rogue is dark magician and the top of rogue is something like salamangreat this sits comfortably at the middle of the barrel

@@AlphaSquadZero You should generally have enough recovery and non-core interruptions to stop at least the lethal. I only lost to crusadia on a board of blackbeard + blue. The plunder trap and the odd veiler do a lot.
