i played madolche for few months in master duel - and god i feel so dumb - already first game i was like.. wait what? he didnt use madolche petting first time, and waited to summon it again to get another mat on field with messengelato? thats genius.. but then i realized i am way too comfortable with basic MD madolche setup with two messengelatos, also quite nice that ishizu tear help with one of the weaknesses of madolches - having monsters in GY when you dont need them - or messengelato in GY when he is needed in deck

Yeah from these games he had to make a lot of really bad plays because this list wasn't on it. Somehow it didn't actually cause him to lose any games this vid (the g2 against tears he would've won if he went for the trap instead of the field spell), but to me it seems like the brick is still worth playing because I think not playing it would end up making you lose more than you would by bricking by playing it. Also I think this is why the deck is on ticket instead of salon which I don't think is something you'd want to do unless you had to like in this instance. 1 Gelato is also interesting, as long as you don't go for the full combo you never actually need 2, but if you draw that 1 copy you miss out on alot. So again, I feel the deck probably is just better if you play the extra brick but I think is less of a negative than no Pudding. Not playing both of these together also means you can no longer do the madolche otk combo which is another negative. And I guess with the vernusylphs, or keldo if you draw pudding, drawing one of these isn't as bad as it was in the past.

By the way, I would love for you to test out vernasylph gadgets The gadgets being level 4 and searchable off themselves makes them super powerful to the point where a full combo only requires a gadget either in hand or grave and either seedling or the girl And it can go into things like abyss dweller and now that it has a way it can go into cyber dragon infinity

I've been playing madolche for years now, always trying to find a way to make it viable. I've tested anti-meta builds, combos, otks and everything but this vernusylph thing it's just glorious. It gives the deck a really nice detail that is always annoying you if you know how to play it: the ability to start playing with a monster in your graveyard. In fact it's really important to be able to start your main combo using petting and pudding, but in order to do that, you needed to make sure not to fill your graveyard. Like you wanted to use handtraps? they go to your graveyard at activation, you could only use psy frame in that case. Petting will not activate unless you really commit to having no monsters in graveyard, but now you can just summon it out of a vernusylph and go on. The best thing is they're also searchers, which is something madolche really wants because you have to be able to play through interruptions, now you can bait them with multiple searching instead of just losing to the first handtrap they throw at you. They also allows you to start with non-madolche monsters before locking yourself with petting. By getting 2 level 4 vernusylphs you can summon dweller when you go first, you can go into bagooska for turn 2 and stall, like hell you can even summon a ptolemaus now and go into diamond the next turn. Also I haven't even said anything about ishizu cards yet. Since they're all earth monsters you can summon them with vernusylphs, you can summon them by themselves by discarding fairies of which you have a lot of them because you're playing 3 fairy archetypes together, and having an ishizu card in your graveyard does not only mean you can control your opponents graveyard; you can shuffle your own madolches into your deck to trigger your effects, you can shuffle your vernusylphs for allowing a petting start or just for recycling, anything you could think of. Overall it's just insane and brilliant interactions between all the parts of this build, and as a madolche lover, I'm eternally grateful.

I was going to make a comment about how MBT bungled some of the combos but then checked the list again and saw the deck was only playing 1 Messengelato and no Puddingcess or Soiree. I haven't played Madolche more recently than Small World so that's an interesting list to me. My gut instinct is that it's wrong but I really don't know. There were a few times in this video where if he had those cards he could've extended much farther, but I'm not well-versed enough on the newer cards to know if I'm right or if it's too greedy to run those cards. I would though. I'm greedy.

This deck is consistent enough. Every madolche monster other than messengelato starts your combo. Seedlings can search anjelly and seedlings is searchable by hills. So thats already 18 starters. Also you got the draw vernusylph which draw into a combo piece. Small would just hinder because your deck is consistent enough and you need discards for the vernusylphs.

Honestly, the deck has the space to run the full madolche combo. 10 verns is pretty too much, and you can cut thawing mountains. The other slot could be taken from a mudora. Or maybe you can remove the bystials (or the fenrirs if you're in a budget, but it's one of the best cards in the format and hope it gets soon a reprint). Not playing Salon also feels like a mistake, as you're relying on using your only mess to search for that only copy of promenade.
