I'll take that "top of tier 2" all the way to the bank. I know DDD has limitation. That is fine, I won't pretend it will become meta overnight because of some good support, to reach that level you need "unfair" support, wich the new support isn't. It's really good, but not "unfair". I'm just glad this new breath of life in the archetype has brought some attention to it, kind of the same way the new synchron support brought a bit more attention to it. Let's be real, any for of legacy support that isn't DM or Gx related has been long overdue. Bring over the stardusts, ddds, utopias and let the BE DM and Heroes rest a bit.

The art so cool, dark support is super varied, the grind game and combo potential are both high and best of all it's a strategy that you can constantly be revising and thinking harder about. Hey, you uploaded this on my birthday! Didn't see it until now, but as a DDD liker I am very pleased. Honestly, I don't think Vice Typhon is worth running, especially if you're already running D'Arc to get a 7, especially over Called By or a second Ragnarok--which, yes, you can set from deck, but not if you draw it, and this can genuinely cause some problems. It's hardly a bad card to draw either. Running it over Vice Typhon would have helped you quite a bit in that last Flunder match. Small World honestly seems like a much better choice for the deck than Allure, which a bunch of people run and I've personally never liked in DDD--it's just too hard to get back banished monsters. Have you considered Gamma as an alternative handtrap, though? It's incredibly powerful in DDD (or any deck that uses light/dark, really) paired with Chaotic Ruler, can be used as a Small World bridge into any of your 0/0s, and if you run Ghost it's a super easy way to get into Baronne. ED space is pretty tight, but personally I've found that a third Gilgamesh usually isn't necessary, especially if you're able to get into Baronne more consistently and pop your own cards instead of needing to use them as xyz->link material. Anyway, really enjoyed the video, and you definitely made me consider some card choices I hadn't before. Not sure if you'll see this comment, but thanks for sharing!

Honestly I think the Piri Reis Map version is better than the small world version. Small world is, in most every scenario, going to grab you either copernicus or kepler, so why you'd choose to *also* go neg 1 due to small world just doesn't make much sense to me. It also allows you to play Imperm over the other handtraps bc you won't need them as small world bridges, which gives you a solid chance to not auto-lose to scythe going second. Idk, I think the list here is fine, but MBT's criticisms of the deck can be pretty easily fixed. Just look at Jacked YGO's current build of the deck and he'll pretty much give you the entire run-down of the deck (for free, you greasy spreadsheet lovers)

hard to justify piri reis map in ddd's... pay half your life points, then gilgamesh is a -1k life point, then possibly needing ragnarok to extend is another -1k.... being left w/ 2-3k life points isnt too good lol.
@toni98MK2 жыл бұрын
@Phil Well depending on the current Meta I would argue that the writer of the first comment is correct on his assumption. Lifepoints, if not used for Redox pass or Destrudo pass, are seemingly irrelevant. As long as you still got some. Right now I would try to make the best board possible regardless of the lifepoint-cost. And having ways to dodge scythe are more important than ever.

Piri: 1) can cost you games on the LP, especially if in EU where Rage is illegal. 2) must be sided out game 3 for time reasons. 3) maximizes the 1 card kepler combo like in [1] it's much better in NA 4) can only get Kepler/Coper, demands a normal summon. Small World: 1) can grab ANY DD or even a handtrap of choice 2) doesn't leave you with 2k LP (3k if Rage) 3) can be played game 3 4) hard loses to lancea 5) by playing monster handtraps you don't clog your S/T zones and can use everything (many times you'll find yourself having to choose 1 between droplet/imperm/headhunt to set due to 2 scales and contracts) Technically One for One is also a -1 like Small World. But this -1 has the potential to make your hand into one of the "full combo" hands without the risk of RNG (allure/prosperity), heavy restrictions (start of MP / LP cost) or dictating a certain path that will limit your plays (normal summon of Coper/Gryphon, giving up on Baronne immediately)
@ryanhall53602 жыл бұрын
@@babrad Considering that most people are maining lancea right now, I'd still say that Map is the better option. Also, the LP usually never comes up bc you're popping the contracts on their turn, or if you're super worried about your LP, you just go into D arc and gain it all back. You can also Siegfried negate your own spell on both yours and your opponent's turn to play around the burn if that's what you really need to do. Also, you don't need to go "Full combo" with DDD anymore, so taking an unnecessary neg 1 isn't optimal. That "certain path" limiting your plays would be like if Tenki could've only searched Ratpier in zoo format. 95/100 times, you're searching your starter. It also makes it so you don't have to run Eccentrick in your deck, which is functionally a brick
@babrad2 жыл бұрын
@@ryanhall5360 totally agree on Lancea. Many times you skip Siegfried for Baronne Caesar Headhunt, so if they just bait Baronne and you don't have Rage/Coper in scale you are almost losing on your own. IMO as soon as people learn to play effectively against the deck this will become a huge issue. Having 2k LP opens you up to really unexpected otks, especially with Droplets everywhere Eccentric isn't that huge of a brick. It has an excellent scale 7 so you can use it with Kepler/Gate 1 card combos. About "full combo" having easier access to swirl 3 card combos is very important to play around interruption while setting up and Baronne is our best tool. By "certain path" I mean that depending on your normal summon post Map you can even guess your opponent's hand if you are accustomed to the deck, making interruption even more effective.

Just came home from losing to the burn effect of the field spell in time! Such a great experience! The decks fun as hell tho. Or at least my opponent was. Either way, I had a blast playing against something that isn't phantom knights or eldlich!

This deck looks pretty sick, a whole lot less hemogenous then some decks feel like these days, If any D/D/D players get mad about this its undeserved because this list is based

Shame DDD is so close to being teir 1 but misses it. It's honestly a interesting deck and to see it being able to run stuff entirely in it's own eco system is nice.

Better than it being too strong and getting hit on a list. There will be future metas that allow the deck to do better.

This is only a good thing bro. If you are going to spend money on cards, might as well the be deck that won't get hit but is still good.

From this day on, mbt's name will be a slur in the D/D/D community. This is the first time I have noticed that mbt wasn't playing the highlighted deck in the bo3. That's kind of cool to have someone good with the deck to play a confusing deck like this
